My wife quit AOL years ago [before Win98 came out, that's how long it's been] because pop-up windows BEFORE the browser even came up that would bomb out her computer.
Now it turns out that AOL is nannying people's e-mail and search results? And you have to pay HOW much/month?

I can't believe that anyone still pays them for their version of the Internet on training wheels.

What is AOL? Is thea the company that sends me free CD's for target practice?
They make GREAT targets at 100 yards.

I can't believe people still use A-Hole-Hell. Apart from this babe's complaint, it's just slightly above WebTV as a refuge for denizens of the shallow end of the gene pool.

AOL...worthless, useless and hopeless.

I just clicked on the article and mailed it to 3 AOL accounts, one of which is mine. I'll see what happens.

Yes they do and they dood it frequently. I have a daily newsletter called 'Liberty Watch' which I send out to subscribers all over the U.S. It is SIMPLY a collection of links to hard news stories on bonafide, legitimate news sites. I engage in no commentary whatsoever; just send the links to people too busy to surf themselves. I suspect that some of the linked stories were dissing homos and thats why the mail was rejected. Back to your statement about the canned reason they gave you 'it has generated a large number of complaints'...... I only had one AOL subscriber and I know he did not complain (he is a personal friend) - the bottom line - AOL is censoring anything that is pro-family, pro-God and against buttsex.

Good. Let AOL block what it will. Maybe the people for whom I still hold out hope - those just beginning their slide into morondom - will ditch it pronto.

Very odd. I tried to forward this link to an AOL subscriber, but I got a 'Delivery Status Notification' message from postmaster@mail.hotmail.com saying that the link was reported as offensive and automatically blocked. Does AOL really censor email?
I take it the person sending the email is using hotmail. You can get this message if either hotmail or AOL is blocking the email.
You'll have to dig further down into the email and see if it was AOLs or hotmail's server that blocked it.

True story:
Way back when, when AOL was in version one point something, I, being a writer, tried to create a relevant and witty screen name...
My first choice was "Pen Is Sword" which any pervert (or AOL) would read as "Penis Word"
Thus I became IncPen.

AOL is nothing but crap. And, just try to terminate your account on their website. They have that info buried so deeply, it is almost impossible to find. I terminated my account seven years ago, and they still send me sign-up discs. Everywhere I go, I see huge bins full of free AOL discs. I hear a lot of people talking about what crap AOL is.

My first computer(Packard Bell) had Prodigy as the "installed" online service(2400 baud). I bought a computer magazine and it had an AOL disc. I said cool, installed the disc and then afterwards came to the conclusion that "AOL sucks". After a 45 minute phone call to get rid of it, never have installed AOL since even though I still get their stupid discs in the mail.

I know one person who uses AOL. I help him sometimes with computer problems. AOL puts so much trash on his computer that he has trouble running anything else. In addition I have trouble accessing many sites from his computer. They may not be blocking them but they are doing the same thing in some manner.

In 2000, CNET News reported that AOL's "youth filters" were preventing young surfers from accessing liberal websites; "your children can easily view the site of the Republican National Committee," Brian Livingston reported at the time, "but the Democratic National Committee is blocked." At least there is a silver cloud in every lining or something like that!
Actually, AOL is not someone I would do business with. Their parent company Time Warner is on my boycott list. Censoring everyone's email seems like a Marxist thing to do, so I am not surprised.
BTW; Is your screenname related to the EastEnders?
