[history]
Inside of a century, the Pacific Northwest could be struck by a magnitude 9 quake, shaking the region 10 times more violently than San Francisco's famous 1906 quake and for 12 times longer.

Inside the next 2 days, the Earth could be hit by an undetected asteroid larger than Jupiter. In order to be more precise, I'm going to need a really big grant -- and you better get it to me quick!
