I saw this kind of tactic coming so I've already taken steps to... How shall I put this? ...butcher this one. For years now whenever my daughter asks "What's for dinner?", I answer "We're having dead  (Fill in the blank) ." My daughter always responds, much to the dismay of her mother, "Dead  (Fill in the blank) ? I loooove dead  (Fill in the blank) !" Should the PETAns try this stunt on her, I'm sure that she'd correct them by telling that daddy kills the animals; mommy sews the pelts.

I went to the original article and found links to the story about them trying to get Hamburg to change their name to Veggieburg. I can't believe I missed that back when it happened. It's hysterical. I urge anyone who missed that to click on the link and read that story.

New to this site, first post. It really does stand to reason, if you think about it. The fact is, the sub-minority left in this country has long been kept in power by the Roosevelt democrats, and as they are thinning down due to attrition, these leftist fanatics are reaching deep in a desperate attempt to regain power. There will be a LOT more of this in the near future, and it will be a lot worse than this, so get ready. The good news is that their fate is sealed, because the truth is never on their side. I remember listening to Michael Medved's radio program one day and hearing a caller tell a story that just appalled me.

He said that his toddler had learned to say and had taken to shouting out randomly, "George Bush is a good man and he's going to be president!"

The family was at a Starbucks in our area, when the child shouted the phrase out in the trendy coffeeshop.

Their table was approached by (I believe, IIRC) two liberal women, who crouched to the child's level and asked him who told him that. He replied that his father had. These two [blanks] proceeded to tell the child that they were sure his father was a nice guy and all that, but that he was wrong about George Bush.

The GALL. I still feel a bump in my blood pressure when I recall that story.

Welcome to FR! Good first post. I can't even begin to expect what they'll do in the coming months---if they'll totally lose it and elect Dean, or if the few sane members manage to derail that prospect.

I think they'll lose it. The sane ones sound like concerned family members dealing with a schizophrenic who won't take his meds.
I think it'll be difficult to stop the Deaniacs' screaming express train to Psychoville, USA.

God hope the mushy middle will realise that issues aside, you want sane people leading your country.
