I saw a former child slave from Uganda on tv. He was adopted by an American family. The kid is fifteen, and already skipped a grade, is getting straight As despite knowing hardly an english. His mother was gang raped and murdered in front of him and he wants to become top student to honor her memory. Wow.

All I could think was how many kids aren't fortunate :-(

Thank G-d he got a ticket to freedom in a country where he can excel. I have no doubt he will remember all those who were not as fortunate. It is the ones we can help who will make it right for those that remain.
