Has anyone heard anything about the pictures above? Are these before and after pictures taken today/yesterday? Was he allowed to clean up, shave and then be rephotograghed? The backgrounds look like the same tile. Just curious.

The US troops cleaned him up and took the picture so that the Iraqis could see for sure that it's him.
Same deal as when they cleaned up Uday and Qusay.
