Letter to Congressman Martin Frost, D-TX
Posted on 12/12/2003 10:48:52 PM PST by Indie
LETTER TO PRES BUSH AND MARTIN FROST
If this country does not control it's borders, this country will indeed be lost.
The cure is not amnesty. The cure is not giving them social security benefits.
The cure is closing the borders and shipping illegals back.
Period.
RESPONSE FROM MARTIN FROST:
Thank you for contacting me about immigration legislation. I appreciate hearing your views, and I am happy to respond.
I understand your concern regarding immigration issues and I am committed to ensuring that our existing immigration laws are properly enforced. Our country was founded by immigrants and I would not favor major changes in immigration laws which would significantly reduce the number of persons legally immigrating to this country. In addition, I believe immigrants contribute a great deal to American society. While numerous immigration-related bills have been introduced in this Congress, please know that I will keep your concerns in mind should any of these bills come to the full House for a vote.
I appreciate this opportunity to have been of service, and I hope you will continue to keep me informed of your concerns. In turn, I would like to keep you informed about the work I am doing. To that end, I am implementing a new program to send periodic email updates to constituents. If you would like to receive these updates from Washington, please sign up on my website at http://www.house.gov/frost/subscribe.htm
Thank you again for writing. I look forward to hearing from you in the future.
Sincerely,
MARTIN FROST
Member of Congress

You are correct. I received similar drivel from Sen. Hutchison.

You failed to mention in your letter that 80% of American citizens want the border closed. You could also remind him that he is elected to serve the people. Ask him just who is he serving by thwarting the will of the people and following the open borders agenda?
Ask him to divulge his investments through fair political practices. Is he heavily invested in foreign interests? In Tyson foods or Walmart or other countries that use illegal workers? That would be a very good question to ask and find the answer.

I met Mr. Frost at a Homeland Security seminar in Dallas a few months back. Very unimpressed, and it actually started me on the road to run for office. If people like that make up our Congress, no wonder we are all screwed so badly...

You failed to mention in your letter that 80% of American citizens want the border closed. I'd like to believe it, but I thought it was more like 50-50.
I think it's not a matter of these policians being ignorant to the will of the people, rather I think they know quite well what they do. It's all part of their agenda and thinking they will ever listen to the will of the people any longer is fantasy. They won, and they know it. They don't need us. They have an automatic 40% of the vote from the parasites and commies they feed. Socialism has arrived without a shot fired.

To hell with Martin Frost.
He's a incumbent hanger-on for life because the imbeciles in his district, who are miles apart from him value-wise, still keep voting for him because he has that sacred D next to his name. That's Texas democrats for you. Stuck in a time warp.

well as soon as they say "this country was founded on immigrants" all is lost

He draws most of his support from Little Mexico aka Grand Prairie. Why would anybody think he would be tough on illegals. When that is what votes for him. Good candidate ran against him last time and got crushed. The guy was even an Hispanic!

So did I--and marveled NOT at the ambiguous "I'll keep your viewpoints in mind" if the Senate addresses the issue.
BULL-CORN!!! BALONEY!!! I'm tired of these illegal invasion in my neighborhood, ten to a fancy house that I cannot afford, pickup trucks all over the streets so that my friends and relatives have difficulty finding a parking, babies and more babies that you and I are paying for, and on and on and on!
I do what I can writing letters. My letters, in fact, go back to the days of Reagan when I protested endlessly against the Simpson-Mazoli bill, a black eye on Reagan as much as I adored him.
Please write letters, folks.

Martin Frost was my congressman for too long. No matter what you wrote to him about, his standard respose was just like this: "shut the John
F Kerry up 'cause I'll do what
I want!
Thanks God, I am now in Joe Barton's district where my views have some merit.

That is exactly what I was going to say. Why can't members of Congress respond in plain English? ... That is a stupid question - then we might not vote forr them again.

I have not seen the new redistricting map, but Frosts district snakes it's way through several counties picking up minority areas.
I have heard the new map will pretty much insure the end of his far too long political career. As far as Hutchinson goes, her voting record is pretty good, but I hear she is becoming rather smugly elitist. I don't care as long as she votes the right way.
I smell a very rotten betrayal coming our way regarding the next push by Bush for amnesty for illegals. Frost will vote for amnesty, Hutchinson needs a great deal of pressure exerted on her via phone calls. I called her Monday, they record your statement. If she betrays us on this issue it's time for her to go, along with Cornyn.

Yeah, all this is coming your way, FReepers!!! A literal conquering of the USA while all we do is b*tch, moan, and complain.
Other than his maids etc., Congressman Frost doesn't have to worry in beautiful Bel Aire, CA at his estate, about this invasion--though it's creeping up on him too [karma].

Really, doesn't it seem like that the more the Republicans betray the conservatives, the more determined the conservatives are to keep the entrenched incumbents in power? I guess they are quoting Nixon from 1968: "Sock it to me, AGAIN."

Back in the dark ages, I wrote to my Texas Congressional reps re illegal immigration. Got the same BS answers.
At that time my reps were Senator Lloyd Bentsen (can't remember the other senator) AND Martin Frost.

"Our country was founded by immigrants..."
Immigrants who had to go through stringent medical testing and were sometimes held in quarantine. They were NOT given full medical benefits, food cards, and every other benefit known to man. They came expecting to work their butts off, learn the English language, and blend in.
Exactly WHEN can we expect any of our political representatives to finally GET SOME BACKBONE!?!
