[history]
Residents along Cochise County-Mexico border want to run an armed citizen group out of the area and have filed complaints over a watchtower and sanitation.
Residents are trying to use zoning laws to fight Cochise County's newest group of armed citizens who patrol the Mexican border.

Douglas Mayor Ray Borane said Ranch Rescue isn't wanted by Douglas residents. He cited a resolution the City Council passed a year ago condemning the group's activities. "These people are here. God knows where they've come from or what they've done before," Borane said. "That type of activity is ultimately a recipe for disaster."
Oh, now I get it Ray. It would be much more preferable to have a constant stream of drug runners, rapists and other assorted criminals who we have absolutely no information about, coming into Cochise county.

These people, who are against Americans justly patrolling our borders, are absolute traitors. I hope more Americans begin to realize this.

I'm against illegal immigration, strongly in favor of American Border Patrol - and am against Ranch Rescue, who IMO crosses the line into illegal action and gives ammo to the other side in their attempts to paint border groups as vigilantes.

Ummmm....what area outside of military reservations is zoned for the above purpose? What do zoning laws have to do with protecting the borders?

When you have armed people running around on night patrols, that's not a very safe neighborhood." When you have armed people (the Mexican Army) running around on night patrols at night and in broad daylight, that's not a very safe neighborhood.
Mr. Cooper is a rabid pro-illegal immigration sort.

What kind of whacko police-state has "zoning regulations" that prohibit you from doing something like building a watch-tower on your 600-acre ranch?
Regs like that would prevent you from putting up a water tower for livestock, or building facilities to house ranch hands.

The complaints also say there are inadequate sewage facilities on the property From what I've read, the illegal aliens aren't exactly careful about where they leave their sewage and their trash either. He's more worried about the invaders than the residents.

American Border Patrol
Accosted at Naco Rally
Attempt to document cross-border function met with hostility
Naco, Arizona - (4/5/03 -- ABP) - An attempt to record a group of open border advocates' rally on the border west of Naco was met with hostility on Saturday afternoon. High winds hampered ABP's efforts to send live video from the scene of the demonstration. |

Mexicans selling beer across border while BP looks on. Any problems there with AZ alcoholic beverage control? Site is about one mile west of Naco port of entry. |

American Border Patrol accosted as they tried to video the event. "I was far back from the festivities and a bunch of rough looking guys came toward me and started yelling," Glenn Spencer reported. |
|
|
Who is this guy? He accused Glenn Spencer of skimming money off American Border Patrol. (What a joke!) If you know who this guy is, e-mail us with the info please. [This guy was later ID'd as Jim Cooper]. |

I have almost run out of responses that can address the stupidity and head-in-the-sand partisanship that seems to drive the left and a couple of posters on FR.
I guess the breaking point in THIS little piece is the editorial statement about protecting private property and the US border itself as being somehow detrimental to family values.
What???
Someone has 'family values' that include handing over rights to (family) property and safety to a bunch of foreign criminals? Ignoring the risk of hostile infiltration? Ignoring the absolutely known strain on community resources, taxpayers, and federal/state responsibility?
What the hell kind of family values support illegal immigration...at least what kind of values that do not originate in a fever or a foreign cess pool?

PS: Note that Bank of America is now advertising that it is proud to be facilitating the transfer of funds from Mexican nationals in the US to their relatives in Mexico via debit cards.
Translation, making bucks off of the illegal's shifting US wages into Mexican property and Mexican standard of living (i.e. not starving)...that great big chunk of Mexico's national income that comes from encouraging and abetting "migration" across a "good" neighbor's borders.
