Dean: Bush May Have Been Tipped to 9/11 Attacks

It looks like ex-congressional nutball Cynthia McKinney has picked up some new support for her conspiracy theory that President Bush had advance word of the 9/11 attacks - from none other than Democratic presidential front-runner Howard Dean.

Dean said on Monday that President Bush is withholding documents related to 9/11 because they may show he knew what was coming.

"The most interesting theory that I've heard so far - which is nothing more than a theory, it can't be proved - is that he was warned ahead of time by the Saudis," Dean told a caller to Washington, D.C's Diane Rehm Show, according to a transcript obtained by Opinion Journal.com.

"Now, who knows what the real situation is?" the presidential conspiracy theorist cautioned. He then added, "But the trouble is, by suppressing that kind of information, you lead to those kinds of theories, whether they have any truth to them or not."

Dean warned that the more theories like his "get repeated," the more people tend to believe them. "So I think the president is taking a great risk by suppressing the key information that should go to the Kean commission" investigating the 9/11 attacks.

Ms. McKinney raised similarly explosive questions during a March 2002 radio interview, when she demanded, "What did this administration know, and when did it know it about the events of Sept. 11?

"Who else knew," McKinney added, "and why did they not warn the innocent people of New York who were needlessly murdered? What do they have to hide?"

And nobody knows that better than Dr. Dean, hence his statements about this "theory."

This guy is so raving mad. I hope he gets the nomination. If he does, my prediction is Bush in a landslide 60/40.

Yeah, straight out of Hitler's Germany: tell a lie often enough and to enough people, and they'll believe it. Goebels, I think.

This isn't a theory. Its pure BS!

For anyone to say, that PresBush had prior knowledge of the specific details pertaining to the 9-11 attacks, that person is engaging in gutter politics and stoking the fires of hatred. Howie Dean is more desperate then I had originally figured. Dean is a real POS.

I was just thinking...Dean reminds me, in an odd way, of course, of Pat Buchanan in 2000. Hear me out before you all flame me...In 2000 Pat ran in the Reform party and basically finished it off as a force to be reckoned with. ( I wouldn't be surprised if that wasn't his intention the whole time either) In 2004 Dean may win the Democrat nomination and if he keeps up these loony proclamations then we may be seeing the end of Dems as a viable political party. Of course something will rise to fill the vacuum, maybe the Libertarians, who knows!

So, Dean thinks the Saudi's told the President in advance all the details of 9-11. The how, where, when and the President did nothing. Uh-huh, sure.

Let's be clear Howie. OBL was threatening to fly planes into buildings for YEARS. He made those threats during the time the man you called "excellent on foreign and domestic policy" was in office. That man, Howie, named Bill Clinton, knew of those threats, had briefings and information and also had opportunities, YET DID NOTHING!!!

I'll bet $50 that you have a rotten bed-side manner, Dr. Dean.

When is SOMEONE IN THE MEDIA (HELLO?) going to ask this fool to prove his ridiculous assertion? If I were in front of Dean right now, I'd stick my finger down my throat to vomit on him, the SOB.

Dean is coming unglued.

Doesn't know the Soviet Union is gonzo.

Claimed on GMA that he'd release his personal records when Bush releases his.

Problem is - Bush DID release his when he ran for president. Let's see if the media holds Dean's feet to the fire and gets him to release his personal records. (sure, well he** freezes over).
