"Some political analysts have attributed past failures to liberal audiences' lack of interest in hearing their own views repeated..."

BBAAAAAWWWAAAAAAA.....they can't listen to their own TRIPE....and they think this will WORK....no one really WANTS to listen to their "intellectual" discussions or even their non-intellectual discussions......they are LOSERS! LOSERS are not people who others FOLLOW! (Or listen to.)

On the contrary, I will listen. And I imagine quite a few other people will listen in as well... for the sheer joy of calling in and logically abusing whatever asinine hosts they manage to scrounge up. Then we probably will get bored and go back to letting Rush do the dirty work, whereupon the stations will die.

One more proof, if any be needed, that "a fool and his money are soon parted." So the morons who are setting up this process want to buy radio stations to be certain that their stuff gets aired. So be it.

They may get their twaddle on-air, but they can't make people listen to it and take it seriously. And when they can't deliver the audience, they won't get the advertising dollars. And when they can't do that, they will bleed to death financially over a long period of time. Consider what salon.com would be if it was a small chain of radio stations, and you've got the idea down pat.

In that case I wish they would buy HDTV stations across the country.

"Shelley Lewis, a longtime network news producer who was most recently in charge of "American Morning" on CNN, will oversee news programming"

But CNN never had a liberal bias, right? But their news producer leaves to join "the liberal station".

Ha!

Watching liberals scurrying about to set up a liberal talk radio industry is like replaying the last presidential election. Gore cried that Ralph Nader was taking votes away from him. Gore’s dilemma was if he talked to the left he would lose the middle to the Republicans, but if he spoke to the middle he would lose the left to Nader. No matter how he spoke he had only a fixed number of votes. The stupid idiots haven’t figured out that left listening market is finite. So if they set up privately run talk radio stations they will take listeners from NPR and the college stations at best. Maybe the idots will drive the middle crazy.

Why do they have to artificially create affiliates? Guess the product won't stand on its own ... can't expect the Left to know much about the free market.

The executives said the stations they were acquiring reached all radios in 5 of the 10 largest media markets: New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Philadelphia and Boston.

That's what you call preaching to the choir. They'd better find an audience in these cities.

"While individuals on those networks may occasionally express views that are left of center, on balance we find those organizations to be pretty centrist.... "

OCCASIONALLY?!?!!? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Wonder who the advertisers will be ... establishments that cash government checks, ambulance chasing law firms, p-rno shops, abortionists ...

On the bright side, I think this might squeeze Uncle Floyd, once and for all, off public access television.

So long, Oogie.

Hokey smoke - Republicans stand to lose votes in all five of those bastions of conservatism...we're talking twenty, thirty people here.
