Do they have any idea how disrupting a Presidential visit would be to a private funeral? Ridiculous.
Bush often speaks with parents of fallen soldiers.

And now, in a single day, Mr. Bush may have managed to supplant what has become the single most problematic image of him in this war: The picture of him swaggering across an aircraft carrier in front of banner reading "Mission Accomplished." Sniff sniff!

"This is a lose-lose for Democrats. Clinton visited the troops in Kosovo on Thanksgiving and Hillary is in Afganistan now. There is nothing they can say against Bush's trip without being called on it. "
But, unlike the Clintons, W did not make a media spectacle out of his visit. He went out unannounced. I believe that he did this because he felt a sense of responsibility to our troops. The Clintons made their trip purely for political purposes.

Can someone please tell me what past president has attended funeralsI heard a radio talker this morning on the subject (I forget his name-a holiday fill-in guy), but he pointed out that no recent president (except the camera hungry Clinton) did this. This was true throught WW-II, Korea, and Viet Nam.

I think that "secretly" all the dem wannabes are glad gw went and upstaged hillary....she has upstaged them enough and they are afraid to say anything....but i'll bet they secretly "hi-5ed" each other and said "way to go prez"..slam that big assed bitch again on our behalf.

"Democrats are worthless pieces of human scum. Period."
Please do not confuse democrats with liberals. A true democrat is the one that voted for Reagan in 84. They believe in social issues but also believe in a strong military and lower taxes. Kennedy, Truman, now they were democrats.
Today's liberals are closet socialists, too ashamed to call themselves socialists and feel the need to justify it by calling themselves democrats. They are an infected pimple on the ass of society.
Yet I am so grateful for them. I am grateful because that means 4 more years of true American values.

When I think about it that way, it does make sense.

Has anyone found any evidence of a sitting American president attending a private funeral of a soldier killed in action? I believe Presidents don't attend the funerals of indivdual soldiers because they do not want to send the message that one life is more valuable than another. If he attended one, other families would wonder why he is not at theirs, aren't they good enough? Better not to attend any.
It's not for lack of caring, the DemonRATS who are whining and sniveling about this are just spouting yet another talking point. They know damn good and well why he is not attending funerals.

I think these kids need more. I'm sure they were buoyed by his coming, but they need more."
Well, let's get the senate democrats rounded up and do an airdrop into Baghdad in broad day light.

Ahh, don't waste your time, they'd ignore it, they don't want to lose a reason to criticize. It's like the libs who are criticizing the fact that the caskets returning from overseas are not shown on the news. This is not a new policy but they act like it's Bush's idea!

Kennedy, Truman, now they were democrats. Most of those democrats you define are no longer welcome in the Democratic Party and have switched to Independent or Republican over the last twenty years.
But yes, there are still the Zell Miller's that will never stop calling themselves a Democrat even though they are not represented by their party.
