A swell of immigration to the United States already under way will increase the number of immigrants in Michigan by 250,000 before the end of the decade, according to a report Tuesday by a group that wants stricter limits on how many people enter the country each year.

"We have to depend on college-educated immigrants to make up for college graduates we're losing to other parts of the country,"

This conclusion is completely assinine based on the facts. Why would Michigan lose educated residents to other states? The obvious answer is there are presently NOT ENOUGH good jobs to keep them in the Michigan.

What a nimrod! Why do you suppose Michigan is losing college graduates to other parts of the country? Couldn't have anything to do with a lack of jobs caused by a hostile business climate could it? Yeah, I suppose open borders create more jobs for immigration lawyers, social workers, police and jailers. But enough to compensate for those jobs driven out by higher taxes and increased crime?
