God Has One Foot Out the Door [Part 1, Rise of the Anti-Christians]

Posted on 11/22/2003 12:03:42 PM PST by Arthur Wildfire! March

I'm not the most moral person on earth, nor am I the most religious, but even I can see how much we've been tempting God to abandon us.

If God leaves this country, our technology means nothing. Our riches, our innovations, our heritage, and even our determination would mean nothing without God's blessing. Ashes. Destruction. Humiliation. That is our future if we do not make it clear that we want God to rule over our land, to be welcome in every public building. God looks to the King to decide the kingdom's fate. The voter is the King. And the voter has treated God like a whipped dog. The voter once had the excuse of ignorance. But that excuse no longer cuts it. The Truth is clear now. Knowing right from wrong is not as difficult as it was in years past. This is one of God's greatest blessings, the internet. God has blessed us beyond imagining. If all of His blessings are to be misused, if the voter allows the spitting upon God to continue, we as a nation are in for some terrible shocks.

Some on this forum will never comprehend until it's too late. God no longer feels welcome here. As a friend recently told me, 'God is a gentleman. He will not stay in a house He is not welcome in.' He has one foot out the door, and once He leaves, we will lose the great blessings He has lavished upon us. His blessings have been slowly fading already, His blessed light upon our land dimming, a spiritual coldness setting in that no blankets can cure, and a blindness to future dangers. Once we had half of the world's GNP, just after WWII. As usual, we were spared from having our major cities burned and bombed, unlike many other nations throughout the world. Pearl Harbor, while painful, was nothing like what England, France, Germany, Japan, Russia, and a host of other nations suffered. We turned to God in WWII. We prayed fervently. We united. Under God, we prevailed. A short time later, President Eisenhower added 'under God' to the Pledge of Allegience. Most Americans agreed with Ike that we should acknowledge the source of our nation's blessings.

But other people within this nation were determined to rid us of God. With some, it was semi-conscious, a yearning to see a world more accepting of hedonism. With others, it was part of Karl Marx's Communist Manifesto, replacing worship of God with worship of government to achieve 'utopia'. Others piled on to look 'sophisticated' in the eyes of their 'enlightened' and 'uninhibited' colleagues. And yet others believed that the 'fairy tales' of religion were getting in the way of science. These people united to form an anti-Christian force. The Anti-Christians dominated the think tanks. They dominated the universities. They bought up the television stations. They did their best to control Hollywood [largely successful with a few exceptions]. And they dominated most of the major newspapers. And they still do. At first, they had a pretty 'big tent', attracting creative thought and individuality. But as their power grew, they became more restrictive and controlling. When Ted Turner brought cable television to the world, they snatched him right up, welcoming him into their circle, and poisoning his mind against Christians. A bit naive, Ted Turner spoke his mind publicly, saying that all the fun people would 'be in hell', and that is where he wanted to go. He made jokes about the Pope, and he was alarmed to see a beach on his private island shrinking in size.

The Democratic Party fell under their control, largely due to FDR's fascination with socialist intellectuals and ideas. Thus arose the Triangle of Anti-Christian Power: the DNC, the Colleges, and the Media. Through the colleges, the Legal Branch was corrupted. Through the Media, the DNC had tremendous power, constantly pressing Christian Conservatism into the defensive. They enjoyed watching the internet in its infancy, a harmless toy, they thought, which tempted people with pornography, driving them further from God. [That was probably their worst mistake.] Even so, their power grew to the point that 40 million unborn infants were legally murdered, and tax money was used to pay for art that mocked Christianity in the most vile ways imaginable. Those are the subjects I will start with tomorrow-- Infanticide and the NEA [National Endowment of the Arts].

Good post. Even a pagan, steeped in the ways of republican Rome, would say we have turned away from virtue and are reaping our reward. Saying we have turned from God, and that He will abandon us in turn, may be closer to the truth. God knows, and we can read the working out of His will all around us.

You've presented a very eloquent summary of our time.

Some on this forum will never comprehend until it's too late. God no longer feels welcome here. As a friend recently told me, 'God is a gentleman. He will not stay in a house He is not welcome in.' He has one foot out the door, and once He leaves, we will lose the great blessings He has lavished upon us.

This could be said even more strongly. God is sovereign, in control over everything. He provides the very laws of logic by which we (and His enemies) can even engage in rational discourse. I posit the departure of our nation from its Christian and Puritan roots is, in fact, a judgment of God against us, not merely our pushing him out of the public sphere (which is not possible for man to do).

Does this "naïve" verse from St. Paul's epistle to the Romans not describe our situation in striking detail? Read it carefully:

1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
1:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
1:31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

Only the blind, the so-called "enlightened ones", would be foolish enough not to see how everything described here is become manifest in our own day.

To a Christian, we are heading into the times that the Bible records the prophets of old would have loved to have been a part of. My knees are knocking together a little to hard to appreciate that biblical scripture much, but I try to scrape together the courage neccessary to face that "something wicked that this way is coming".

We are also told we best be busy sowing those seeds of Christianity because the time is coming when no man can sow them. The time when all we can do is endure to the end, and that end will most likely be death.

Will that be in our lifetime? I couldn't hazzard a guess. I only know one thing, I'm going to follow Him where ever He leads.

"'God is a gentleman. He will not stay in a house He is not welcome in.' He has one foot out the door, and once He leaves, we will lose the great blessings He has lavished upon us".

Thus the entire reason for the Gospel...When we choose to seperate ourselves from God we seperate ourselves from all that He has for us individually and even as a nation... It is the same way in death...WE choose where we are going to spend eternity. In the presence of All things God has created for us or total seperation from even the light of day that was created by Him...Imagine the worst dark, cold, lonely place. Or Imagine if you can...

Rev 22:1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

Rev 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, [was there] the tree of life, which bare twelve [manner of] fruits, [and] yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree [were] for the healing of the nations.

Rev 22:3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

Rev 22:4 And they shall see his face; and his name [shall be] in their foreheads.

Rev 22:5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

"We are also told we best be busy sowing those seeds of Christianity because the time is coming when no man can sow them. "

Yep. Seeds fell on good ground, bad ground and some in the weeds. Right now we seem to be the weeds and the good gets choked out.

AW!M...You've hit on a very important point here.
If people reject the rules of our Creator, He isn't one to stick around to beg 'n plea for their acceptance. And He certainly will not mollify, amend, or change His ways.
Yet, (some) humans will always be arrogant enough to think they know better than their Creator.

Great post Arthur. I am reminded of this New Testament prophesy:

"But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of stress. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, inhuman, implacable, slanderers, profligates, fierce, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding the form of religion but denying the power of it." (2 Timothy 3: 1-5)

....
....
"......change in the collective "WE," is old-fashioned intimidation and fear, or as some would euphemistically call it political correctness......."

That something evil is happening is obvious, but the general "tenor" of this thread has become so commonplace in America it in itself has taken on the tone of "political correctness"........and "dissenters" to it labelled "haters"

That the media is still so simplistically labelled "liberal",that the same bugaboos are still dragged out for the verbal "tar and feathering", that for some reason.....

GOD, CHRIST, and CHRISTIANS......

are pictured by US, as covereingly weak IS THE PROBLEM!

WHERE ARE THE CHRISTIANS, CHRIST, and GOD?

This is the ONLY REAL POWER!

If people feel powerless, as the people on this thread are saying they do.......well

YOU must ask yourself why "YOUR" GOD.....is pictured, by you, as running away.

NO......it is WE who are running away.......to the safety of our NEW P.C., and its "secure theory" hide-out

Jesus doesn't mind being persecuted or being an underdog as long as someone believes. And, I do.

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.

--Deuteronomy 30:19

God gave the Jews a choice: Obey the Covenant and be blessed, or disobey it and be cursed. When they went astray they were punished with the Babylonian exile. Then because they repented a saving remnant was blessed by their return.

Christians have, essentially, the same choice as the Jews. Choose God and life, or reject God and choose death. It's an individual choice, but it's also a national choice.

Ours has in many ways been a chosen and a blessed land. More recently, however, our leaders and many of our people have fallen away. God has allowed the Culture of Death to prevail for 30 years.

It would be presumptuous to imagine that He will allow it to prevail forever without withdrawing His favor.

Yes, true, God the Father promised Jesus that He would not lose anyone that belongs to him. There is a finite number, ever decreasing towards the end times. At some point, that last Christian is going to make his decision and then there is no reason to continue on with this era.

The only reason things are continuing is for that very reason. If there were no Christians there would be no point in a continuation of this era. If you are very, very, blessed, God will allow it to be you who makes a difference.
