Why because he won't sellout and "Join Arnold" like the rest of the herd?

In fact, there are a number of Republican legislators who aren't real enthusiastic about a band measure and would much rather see further spending cuts to alleviate the problem.

Hopefully, they too will voice those concerns publicly.
