November 18, 2003 -- I would guess that not since Franklin Delano Roosevelt talked about the "date that will live in infamy," or the Duke of Windsor gave up a throne for a tart, have more people in America tuned in to radio. And Rush Limbaugh, on his old airwaves stomping ground again yesterday, laid it out with the same passion he's always used to make America's left look like Pravda West.

Welcome back, old friend.

You were a light in the darkness of eight years of Clinton corruption, and you, perhaps more tham anyone else, saved AM radio from oblivion.

I normally keep the radio on while performing my househusbandly duties or driving-- but I made a point to listen to you yesterday, and will do so again today.

Welcome back.

What happened to the pain that caused his addiction? I thought it was chronic back pain.

That is the question I have not heard answered.

If Rush plays in any celebrity or friendly golf matches, then the question becomes even more interesting.

My mother suffered with chronic back pain for years prior to her death. The act of doing anything as physical as swinging a golf club was never a possibility.

I have a disk problem in my back where at one point I could hardly walk. I was in so much pain I would just sit hunched over or stand. When I was on pain medication, I could walk fine. Rush said on his show today, he is in pain. He's on vioxx and another non-addicting drug. Listen to the show. He may have to go for surgery. They have to go though Rush's throat and move his larynx. It’s also a traumatic surgery.

Rush said yesterday that he still has the pain, and might have to have back surgery. He has avoided the surgery because they have to go in through his throat and it might cause damage to his larynx.

Your friend was extremely fortunate. My son-in-law may need to have the same surgery--is your friend's doctor anywhere near Kansas City?

Thanks for the reply--my son-in-law's doctor is also at Boone. It has an excellent reputation. We're as close to Columbia as we are to KC, actually.
