Funny, we never read anything about her visiting the casulties of Somalia, Kobhar Towers or the USS Cole....

IT'S CERTIANLY MORE ACCURATE THAN THE LA SLIMES OR THE NY SLIMES. That really is setting the bar awfully low.

My sister works in the Office of the Commander at Walter Reed and she's aware when VIPs visit the troops. She is not aware of Hilary visiting last week. If was kept secret, she would know that too because of the extra security that would have to be arranged. I also read something about 18 senate democrats supposedly visiting the troops last Thursday, including Daschle. But would the minority leader do that during the middle of the debate?
I can get my sister to check all of this out on Monday. She can ask the public affairs officr, or the General's aide or secretary. It can be confirmed easily. Guess what, she really got a treat. She got to take a picture with Bo Derek. She said Bo is absolutely gorgeous!

You'll have to keep us posted. I'm curious as to why she would wait 8 months to go visit if she is really concerned about our troops.

"As I went from room to room and bed to bed, seeing young men who had lost arms and legs, who had head injuries that, at least as for now, prevented them from knowing their names and remembering where they came from - I knew that I was seeing the best that America has to offer." Subtle anti war, anti Bush remark. With some people, there just isn't any bottom level. Of course we all know that Hillary didn't step foot in Walter Reed Hospital.

Maybe she forgot to say that she wishes to revise and extend her remarks at a later date like all the senators say when they're on the floor. Or maybe she was with them in spirit. Fat chance!

"...comfort wounded soldiers coming back from Iraq, saying their plight was the result of President Bush's arrogant foreign policy." Gee, Hillary, did you say that to the soldiers' faces? I dare you to.
To: JeanS
That would be all it would take to finish me off if I was clinging on to life and have her walk in my room.

"we don't need the world's sympathy, we need action."
Agreed, 100%, and I'll go one further.
To paraphrase a Marine truism, the world can "lead, follow, or get the Hell outta the way"...

--"Last Tuesday night I went out to Walter Reed hospital, which, many of you know, is the Army hospital in Washington, to walk around and say hello to the soldiers who had been evacuated out of Iraq after suffering grievous injuries, to meet their familles, [and] to answer their questions." --
Just this sentence you point out suggests her complete arrogance and worthlessness.
"To say hello...and answer questions", not to thank them or to offer any support. What an awful person she is.

The visit didn't make the local papers and you know The WP would have been contacted for sure.

I'm simply astounded the fat cow has the guts to walk into a crowd of patriotic Americans who are armed and know how to use them. Wish it would happen every day.

Did a search on Walter Reed News. Many senators/congressmen mentioned in November... Hillary not one of them!

I'm POSITIVE that those in Walter Reed WERE comforted....when she left and they could go about the business of disinfecting the entire building.
