My gosh. This is TEN TIMES WORSE than I expected, and I FULLY expected a hatchet-job. We should campaign just as hard to have this thing yanked even from Showtime. Good grief.

You know, I've been one of those "wait and see" people - I figured Drudge snagged the most inflammatory parts and we weren't getting a fair look at the whole thing.
Let's hope that this is an early draft or a fake, because it isn't only determinedly vile, it's some of the worst screenwriting I've ever read. If somebody paid money for this they got cheated.

From Salon: A few words of caution: This script is undated, and, though it most likely represents a "shooting script" matching the version of the miniseries that was originally planned for broadcast, we cannot be sure that the script itself was not further edited, and it's likely that additional changes were made during editing. Showtime, the cable network that has acquired "The Reagans" from CBS, has announced that it will "collaborate with the filmmaker to create a final film," so the Showtime version is likely to differ further from this script.

This film will have the Leftsist orgasmic for weeks. Assuming it still airs on Showtime, the print media will be gushing about it for weeks too.Despite all vitriolic motivation, it may prove too much even for leftist shills to hang a positive review on this piece of crap. From what I hear Judy Davis' performance as Nancy Reagan is waaaaaaaaay over the top. She chews up the scenery worse than Faye Dunaway in Mommie Dearest; and Mr. Babs' acting is apparently as wooden as ever. Probably the best they can do with a straight face is to declare it "marvelously campy". IOW they'll have to poke fun at the actors/writers/producers in order to construct a positive spin. This will never be taken seriously as a biopic. The smearmiesters overreached.

O.M.G.! Reagan laughing about Armageddon? I hadn't heard about this one. It's easily as ludicrously back-ass-backwards a-historical as the AIDS scence!
Did the scriptwriters even read a biography of Reagan?

No idea where they would get any abortion stuff, though. Hillary channeled it through Eleanor. Edith told Eleanor and Eleanor told Hillary.

This is all they show of this debate.Huh? There was only one debate (that included Carter) and I can't find the language attributed to the "archival footage" anywhere in the transcripts.
Could they be passing off a bite from some campaign speech as debate material? (I wouldn't put it past 'em.)

This seems almost too blatant to be true. Did they really think they would get away with this?

Nice find, thanks. Downloaded and saved it. But funny thing is, Adobe Acrobat's find function doesn't work for me on this .pdf document (so, e.g., I couldn't go straight to the AIDS lie). Anyone else having this problem or is it just me?
To: Victoria Delsoul
This from the Onion ? It's far too over the top to be true.
If this plays exactly like this it would be cult classic along the lines of "Plan 9 from Outer Space".

I can't get in either, although I am not on dial up, I guess I don't have the correct reader doggoneit! Hope others post most of the scenes we are interested in.

Speaking of advertisers, I received a reply from Target totally distancing themselves from this travisty. I must say that from all of the sponors I contacted, so far they are the only one's who actually addressed my complaint.

It seems to me that Patti Davis did hint that her Mother might have been expecting her before their marriage, but she didn't mention an abortion senario. In fact, she never had this confirmed by her parents, who insisted she was premature or something if I recall from her book. They made this part up for sure to make them appear as hypocrites I am sure!
