Good job,all of the people in media, the friends of Reagan, the many admirers of Reagan, freepers, for at least keeping this fiction off of prime time network TV.

I disagree. In its original form, AIDS quote and all, it was so over the top that the effect would have been a huge backlash. The content would have discredited itself. But by chasing it off CBS and getting a few scenes cut, we not only give them ammo to claim "censorship" (bogus as that is), but we've encouraged them to take out the quotes that make it so obviously bogus. The result will be more believable, even though its still false, than the original, uncut version.

I'm receiving "free" Showtime as a result of recently signing up with DirecTv.

I'm sure I will confuse them completely when I insist that they remove FREE programming from my dish. Not that Showtime is watching anyway... blech..

They're only removing the one quote. There's a lot more rotten in this thing than one quote. And the camp is throughout the whole movie. How contemptible is that, to treat a dying president and his loving wife this way? These people are despicable.

I was litening to Laura Ingraham yesterday, and she was talking about this movie was going to air on Showtime. Her comment of: "The full dozen people that still suscribe to Showtime will get to see this movie." got me laughing. We dropped Showtime long, long ago.

Robert Greenblatt, who will produce this abomination, defines the term schlock TV. And Showtime CEO Matthew C. Blank leads many liberal causes (especially aids, pro-Gay). He sits on the Board of the Sundance Channel, which is run by his good friend Robert Redford, yet another Hollywood leftist. Blank is the sort of bottom-feeder on the Left who rarely has his name publicized out of tinsel-town but who could be expected to approve a hit piece on Reagan.

VICTORY!!! It seems as if the people have spoken and their voice was heard. We are sick of the media elite and their strategically planned character assassinations. This is also a slap in the face of those jaded hollywood schmucks who actually believe they know what it's like to walk a mile in the everyman's shoes.

--It's still airing. Six of one, half a dozen of another.--

Not exactly, so many that never bothered to get cable stations will not be watching, viewership will have to be much less.

"This was my point last night - this is not a true "win" for us; the crap will still air, just on a "sister" network -- one without sponsors that can be influenced. By shifting to Showtime, Viacom still gets to have their cake and eat it too."

Not really. Even if the show had aired on See BS and had been the lowest-rated of all broadcast network shows for the week, it would still have been seen by several million pipple. And it would have appeared on a "rated network."

Now, it's going to appear on what is, largely, an "un-rated" network where its eventual audience will likely be only a few hundred thousand, if that. This is a very large victory for the Rebel Alliance and a big defeat for the Dark Side of the Force.

Remember that Showtime is a "Preemie" - a network one must pay to receive. The vast majority of "Murrican Households" don't pay to get Showtime.

This is all VERY good news.

I'm concerned about our premature celebrating. I want to see official announcements that CBS has cancelled this showing.

Remember we are dealing with media elites whose motto concerning the rest of us is "let them eat cake".

Stay vigilent - it's not that much longer.

Agreed...this is a win. If Showtime airs this bilge, it is still tainted and branded as fantasy. It likely could cost Showtime some subscribers, but reports say it's already cost CBS 9 million, and a load of ill will.

I'm going to cancel Showtime...(even tho I don't have it)
They don't have to know that! Besides Showtime...who else can we boycott under these circumstances? Are there sponsors involved?

I'll agree. Maybe my victory comment is premature. But, there hasn't been too many times that the Drudgester has been wrong. I'll wait and see for now, but I am still pleased with the backlash that has been caused thus far. Did you see O'Reilly last evening? He showed a statement from Barbara Streisand's website. BWAHHHH-WAAAH!!!

Bob Ackerman the Director has said he will re-edit some portions of the film for SHOWTIME

Great, they're going to turn it into Porn.

Showtime...No Limits...Plenty of Hubris.
