Russ update
Russ is continuing to progress. They wheeled the resperator out of his room yesterday. He has remained fever free. He is doing a good job at clearing his lungs. The stuff coming up out of his lungs is not green which means his pneumonia is really phased out. He is still conscious and having normal rest/sleep cycles. There is still no movement in his legs.
His next move will be to the 7th floor. I am nervous about this as the nurse to patient ratio on the trauma icu is 2 to 1. The ratio on the floor that he is going to is 4 to 1 during the daytime and 7 to 1 at night. Visiting hours expand to 12-8 and overnights allowed. I forsee us spending more time with him until we have a feel for the quality of care he is receiving. Depending on how this goes, we may be asking for help on watches in his room.
While he is on 7th floor he will be evaluated for his next big step by the rehab team. Once he is ready he will go to the rehab floor and that is where things will move fast. Russ is an athlete and I believe he will surpass everyone's expectations once he gets to this point.

I've got a question. Late last night, no problem, the pumpkinbar dividers near the top of my thread were displaying. Now they're showing up as a dreaded "red x" box. Is it showing up that way on your screen? If so, I can move the graphic to another server and we could get the admin to edit in the new URL?? Or hmmm is it just me?
Could be a little trick someone's played . . . .
To: Donaeus
Are you seeing red x boxes on the thread now near the top, by any chance?

Good Morning To The Finest!
Amanda is a Native American, Douglas is Mario from Mario Brother's Nintendo, middle is my Mother In Law who is visiting (joking! Just our stuffed witch) and Frankis is rebelling. He hates Halloween.
I have to get my costume on now and get to their school for the Halloween Party.
Happy Halloween All!

Thank you for this positive update about Russ. I will be praying the Lord continues to guide and direct his healing and medical care. May He also refresh your spirit and your strength.
"Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, whose heart is set on pilgrimage. As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a spring; the rain also covers it with pools. They go from strength to strength; each one appears before God in Zion...O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man who trusts in You!" Psalms 82:5-7; 12

Announcement -- I'm pretty sure someone has hacked my AOL account to disturb the AOL-based graphics I used in this thread. They're suddenly no longer there, even on my AOL account. So you guys are seeing some red boxes on the thread today that were just fine graphics yesterday.
But fear not -- happily for us, I just used my AOL account to host a few of the graphics -- just used a few simple things such as divider graphics and a spider background around the left, rats border.
So if you're seeing three boxes with red x's: (1) you're not missing any of the substance of the fun, just some pictures of pumpkins and spiders; and (2) it was working last night so this is most probably a Halloween trick. Cool! I kinda like the idea of being tricked, although not if it was by a 'Rat!
