Creation isn't a "reflection" of the Creator. Nothing created is perfect, therefore, all creation is imperfect. Imperfection isn't evil.

As far as I have ever been able to determine, every evil act can be said to be motivated by drives which are not necessarily evil.

The seven deadly sins - lust, gluttony, anger, sloth, pride, envy, greed - are all perversions of normal drives which are essential for self-preservation.

Take rape. The drive to procreate isn't evil. Forcing someone to submit to you sexually when they don't want to is evil.

Take physical violence. The drive to protect yourself isn't evil, but beating up somebody just for fun is evil.

Why do humans do the wrong things? It's possible that they were never told the right things to do, although that's hard for me to believe. According to Catholic theology, if a person was never told the right things to do, he is not held to the higher standards of someone who was told the right things to do.

Where did the rest of us learn the right things to do? You could believe that God sent avatars and prophets to tell us, or not - I assume that you don't.

But most people behave more or less morally, even atheists. Why? Well, moral philosophy is more or less universal.

There are some cultures who think it's ok to have sex with very young people, and some that think it's ok to have many wives, and some that think war is a lot of fun, but I am not aware of any culture that thinks it's ok to rape your children, or kill your wife, or steal from your parents.

Variations on the Golden Rule are found in all major systems of moral philosophy.

We all start as helpless babies and progress (evolve) into functioning adults.

It's funnier than that. First we're unicellular, like some animals now. Then we're an unidifferentiated colony of cells, like some still-extant life-forms. Later we form a neural tube like "primitive" chordates which are still around.

That happens a lot. When I see that, I assume the poster has adopted something he realizes is totally indefensible on the preponderance of evidence, probably a Gish-Morris YEC model. The poster attacks the evidence with furious intensity and dreams of the day when enough of it falls down that he can reveal his belief without appearing irrational.

The last time I spent any time reading creationist websites, I had to delete and reinstall my network software after I obtained a new IP address.

Could just be a coincidence.

I just ran a spyware detector and found several spyware programs. I should probably install a software firewall. We have a hardware firewall but it's a couple of years old.

I didn't say that your sites contains spyware. I haven't clicked on them, so I have no way of knowing. Designeduniverse, on the other hand, was one of the sites I looked at before my network crashed.

You cannot refute my statements on this thread so you are starting with the insults. When the truth shows evolution to be false, you and your fellow evos start with the character assassination. Actually, you keep omitting to mention how old the earth is and whether the account in Genesis is concretely word-for-word descriptively true. Seems the evolutionists could not hold on any longer in view of their inability to refute statements made refuting their theory. I've been on the FR ... this is my 6th year --- and personally I have outed - offed more liberal disrupters than probably anyone else --- put together !

OK, I'll take the opportunity to jump in right now with my observations.

First, longshadow, that comment there was one which really didn't need to be made. I am sure that is your opinion of the other poster. That's clear and has been clear for a while. Repeating it didn't really add anything, other than helping to contribute to things getting worse on the thread.

And Gore3000, while I said what I said just there about the comment, that doesn't get you off the hook. There is abuse, and then there is abuse which really should roll off your back. Nine times out of ten, if not ten out of ten, when an abuse report would come in about a comment like that, be it on an cre/evo thread or on any other thread, I would respond with a "ticky-tack, no action". If one wants to debate emotionally charged topics, then one should let things roll off a bit easier.

In other words, right here once again, both sides could learn something that could help these threads survive. Both sides claim that is their goal. I believe both sides when they say it is their goal. Let's act like it a bit more.
