You were very close with water dripping down. Those choppers this morning would dump their load and fly right into the smoke and come out on the other side. Really impressed with these guys.
Are they still based in the Lake Elsinore area? Know when we lived there all the firefighting planes/choppers came from there.

the two locations for parking the aircraft and reload of the foam is SB airport and Hemet/Ryan field. Maybe somebody has update to my information

the chopper guys are great, but the really wild guys are the bomber pilots. it is just amazing to watch them manuver those planes around the hilly areas.
