last fire season we had a fire and the choppers used a local manmade lake to refill...flew over my work and we were hit by the dripping water as they flew over..yeah..they were flying low. Those guys do an incredible job.

the LAFD helispot has been moved to Rocketdyne...
if you are in that area, there will be an airforce overhead.

You were very close with water dripping down. Those choppers this morning would dump their load and fly right into the smoke and come out on the other side. Really impressed with these guys.
Are they still based in the Lake Elsinore area? Know when we lived there all the firefighting planes/choppers came from there.
