"...The law, and Judge Greer, have failed Terri. Her husband has
blocked access to impartial medical opinions not just on treatment,
but on diagnosis. I hope that the courts, or Governor Bush, can
finally appoint someone to examine Terri who is not on the payroll
of an attorney or has their own personal agenda....."
The court ordered five medical opinions. Two of the Family's
choice; two of Terri's husband's choice and one court appointed
neutral.
The decision was reached, that Terri is in a vegetative state;
her Cerebral Cortex damaged beyond resolve; her condition
will not improve; Terri will remain alive, only for the apparatus
involved for feeding.
Each physician involved in testimony is paid by the people requesting
that testimony, with exception of the court appointed physician.
Terri could not be denied proper care without legal suit resulting,
simply by a spouse or family requesting that proper care be denied.
The courts do not rely on the information from publications like the
"Star" or "National Enquirer" for information needed to resolve a case.
