The Schindlers ask again, "Please do not threaten the lives of the legislators, as this may turn them against Terri!" I find it stunning that they have to state the obvious!

Sorry, after rereading what they have posted:
S 0012E
Last Action: Governor/One-time Stay
10/20/2003 S Filed; Referred to Rules and Calendar; On Committee agenda-- Rules and Calendar, 10/21/03, 8:00 am, 37-S
The Rules and Calendar Committee(s) will be taking it up this morning at 8:00. Not the full Senate
To: mtbopfuyn
I am looking for Fox's email address. I want to ask them not to refer to mc as Terri's husband...........better to use the term estranged husband.

several Democrats argued that the Constitution doesn't allow the Legislature to give governors the power to overrule the courts. If the judges cannot be overruled some means, then they have complete control over whatever, wherever and whenever they choose.
That isn't called "republican democracy". That's called a "dictatorship"!

Everything says this morning, including the senate site. Sounds like maybe the debating will during the day and the vote will come later this evening
If this is passed .. how long before it goes into effect?

Comatose Woman Tiff This headline writer has an odd way of describing a woman (that's a human being, get it?) who is on the verge of being starved to death.

I agree. "Tiff" is hardly an appropriate word to describe a historic legal case.
To: MarMema
I suppose that is up to the 'Calendar Committee'.
Apparently no sooner than 6:45PM.
Sigh...
To: Cicero
I would think that since it has passed in the House that they ought, OUGHT to re-insert the feeding tube, pending this vote. They sure are dragging this out. Why couldn't they call an emergency session, and postpone the session regarding rules and agenda?

That isn't called "republican democracy". That's called a "dictatorship"! Why do you think Clinton and the Dems packed the courts with liberals
Which is why they are fighting so hard now to deny Judges from a vote in DC

The Schindlers ask again, "Please do not threaten the lives of the legislators, as this may turn them against Terri!" I do not advocate anyone threatening anyone's life, including Michael Schiavo's. However, some slimy politicians will only respond when they sense real danger to themselves.

Thanks.

Funny, now the Democrats are all exercised about strict interpretation of enumerated powers. Where were they during the FDR years?
To: Mo1
John Scott said she's "been in a
VEGETATIVE state for 13 years".
WHY do they use THAT word?!?!?
To: TaxRelief
Brilliant. Positively brilliant.
To: Cicero
I thought that was incredibly callous of them as well.

"..."The Constitution is supposed to protect the people of this state," said Rep. Sandy Murman. "Who is protecting this girl?"..."
For that matter, who protects the lives of the about-to-be aborted?
This is truly barbaric. I hope and pray Florida does the right thing in this case. I also hope and pray that her "husband" NEVER gets a penny of the million + for the death of his LEGAL wife. Terri didn't ask for this, but Michael is greasing the skids for her to die. What part of one's being has to be shut down to do something like this. He is a cold-hearted bas---d! As others have said on other related threads, the woman that Michael is banging better start re-evaluating the nature of their assocciation. It happened to Terri, it can happen to her. It is said that after the first kill, the others are easier to do. Michael is doing just that. To he!! with him and others of his ilk.
