The Florida House scheduled a Monday night session to take up the issue. In the Senate, President Jim King said he will propose legislation that would give Gov. Jeb Bush the authority to order the feeding tube be reinserted to keep Terri Schiavo alive. The tube was removed Wednesday following a decade-long court battle between Schiavo's parents and their son-in-law, who contends that he is carrying out her wishes not to be kept alive artificially.
"If we are to err - because time is of the essence - for goodness sake let us err on the side of caution," said King, a Republican.

I just talked to the office of the Senator who represents my district in South Florida, Skip Campbell. He is a dem. The lady I talked to was really nice and she agreed that it was horrible what had been done. She said the Senator voted to put it on the calendar today and has already added some ammendments to the bill. One of those would be dealing with guardian ad litum. She said that although she hasn't gotten a yes or no, she believes he is in vfavor of passing the bill. She also told me their e-mail has crashed, and that they are getting calls from Canada. Keep it up freepers.
