Yeah, why wasn't this introduced this morning?

Several opposed scored points (somewhat) by noting that this issue was not important enough to be included on the special session notice by the Governor OR be debated first thing that morning.

I find it hard to believe many still vest the Executive Branch with some sense of urgency on this issue.

Askel5's right - a couple people did ask why this wasn't important enough to be included in the special session schedule from the get-go. Good points were made actually.

With ragard to this specific bill, in his opening statement, Rep Stargel did say that the governor's legal team had been working on it all that day.

Of course that begs the question, what were they doing on Sunday? :)
