Young Americans love their radios, according to pollster John Zogby. In the most recent Zogby Poll, 76% of Americans are satisfied with the current radio performance in both news and music.
The poll of 1,203 adults ranging from ages 18 -29, revealed that the popularity of talk radio is still increasing. Young adult listeners enjoy expressing their comments, opinions, and views on current political and social issues and having them critiqued by popular hosts such as Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Bill OReilly.
Over 93% of the Zogby poll respondents also expressed their satisfaction with the ability of news radio stations responding major catastrophes such as a natural disaster or terrorist attack. 70% recognize the value of radio in these dire circumstances.
Poll respondents also revealed their satisfaction with the frequency of preferred music played on popular radio stations such as Z-100, KTU, and K-ROCK. 74% of poll respondents agree that stations play music they always like and music they like most of the time. Only 12% of music listeners say radio stations never play preferred music.
This Zogby poll was conducted as a follow up poll to a past survey that was taken in April of this year.

76% of Americans are satisfied with the current radio performance in both news and music. Gag. I can hardly bear to listen to commercial music radio stations any more.

Well, I'd say this is good news, because it shows there is not a huge market out there that is eager for Liberal Talk Radio, and constantly grumbling, "I never hear Talk Radio that appeals to me."
Sounds like, in fact, there are a lot of satisfied customers out there.
