If legislation passes, it will benefit those endangered by the euthanasia movement geared up in Florida. That's one beneficiary. The likelihood of this being passed in time to save Terri from deteriorating is very low and it may not be written as retroactive so it may not even effect her plight. That leaves the CYA scenario for soemone who should have acted to save Terri, then dealt with the political fallout. He had the legal authority to act but chose not too for political reasons, IMHO.

News about Bush special session action for Terri

Re your post #372 - He [Gov Bush] had the legal authority to act but chose not too for political reasons, IMHO.
IMHO, the facts are as follows: law enforcement in FL refuses to investigate because a complaint was not timely filed, nor filed in the appropriate jurisdiction, Pinellas County. That was reported in the NYT. Maybe the newspaper and law enforcement are wrong. Maybe they are right. So much for a criminal investigation. Not easy to start under such circunstances if warranted, and according to the judge, not warranted and that's why the parents' request was recently denied (just last Fri). How you can dump all this on Gov Bush is beyond me, but, you and others seem to have no problem dumping away on our good goveror.
As to the civil issues, the husband is the legal guardian and this has been upheld by something like 19 different judges in the courts. Are you saying Gov Bush is the "one" to blame for this too? Apparently you are.
I think some of the people here who have been trashing Gov Bush are being totally unfair. But, I realize emotions are running high. Tempers are short. People want someone to feel the heat. Gov Bush is not new to the heat, believe me. Ever hear of One Florida? Enough said.
