PLEASE ,PLEASE go to the website http://www.terrisfight.org and read the letters that have just been sent to Jeb Bush in regards to the Terri Schiavo case. JEB BUSH can LEGALLY STOP THIS. CALL his office, CALL YOUR REPRESENTATIVES, CALL and email the media.THE CLOCK is ticking to save her life.

Sorry if this post isn't " polished" and " refined" but I am not a seasoned " poster" here on FR.

Wrong. Whatever happens...in the end, G-d's LAW will ALWAYS trump man's law.
My philosophy of life is what goes around comes around...now or later.

Far as the Declaration goes, we might as well throw it out with Terri's food, right, Dave, you compassionate marshmallow, you? It obviously means nothing to some folks anymore.

Maybe you are the one to answer the question I asked earlier about whether the Catholic Church could grant this girl special dispensation for an annullment which might at least give her parents a fighting chance.

The Catholic Church cannot begin annulment proceedings until a civil divorce has been granted. And an annulment is a strictly "religious" matter anyway. It has no effect on her civil status in law.

There should be a "Welcome Aboard" thread or such with FReeper Lore. I think there'd be something there. If not, there should be--he was really quite amusing. I wonder if he actually filed a suit and had someone serve it at Wrigley Field, looking for "Deeyenda Maddick" (say that name aloud to get the joke :o)

how do you know they
( Thomas Law center) are solicited by the Schindlers and why does taht mean they carry no weight, and why is that wrong?

"I'll take a swing at answering that one: Gov. Bush hasn't done anything because, despite the importunings of the lawyers that the Schindlers hired, he knows he has no such authority."

If this is true then why is the family pursuing it. I believe they think Jeb can stop this. Just don't ask me how!

"Don't you think that a state governor would consult with, say, his attorney general, or with the governor's legal counsel, on something like this, rather than relying on legal briefs from people who were in the pay of one of the parties involved in the case????"

But of course! So again, how can lawyers for Terri draft briefs that have no legal weight?

"On the other hand, he can count votes, and knows which side of this debate his core constituency is on, so he is making loud, public, sympathetic noises. But that's all he's going to do. That's my prediction."

Now I'm confused. Either Jeb jas authority or he deson't. People have short term memories and if anything sticks it will be financial issues or healthcare - something that affects them directly.

Don't get me wrong I'm not attacking you. I fear though that your prediction will come true.

Governor Bush,

Like it or not this is what I am thinking today. I originally posted the following on this thread.

****************************************************

To further bring into focus just what the authorities, from the judges on down, are ignoring in order to end Terri Schiavo's life I'll put them into a bulleted list.

Micheal Schiavo's vested interests in Terri's death:

1. Avoidance of a near certain criminal investigation and possible prosecution arising from questions concerning the multiple fractures she seems to have acquired just prior to becoming mute and immobile.

2. Sole acquisition of funds secured for the rehabilitation and maintenence of Terri's life and health which can only be accomplished if he remains married to Terri.

3. Legal sanctification of his sexual relationship with another woman.

4. Emotional security of legally securing his relationship with that other woman by means of marriage.

Micheal Schiavo's actions:

1. Removal of Terri from a rehabilitative hospital setting to the purely maintenence oriented setting of a hospice facility.

2. Using his authority as her legal guardian to prohibit all efforts to rehabilitate her.

3. Using his authority as her legal guardian to limit or prohibit visitation by her family.

4. Calling his wife a "bitch" in the context of wondering why it was taking so long for her to die.

5. Use of the funds meant for Terri's care for his own needs.

Algore is still wishing his case for vote recounts had had half as much merit as these points make for terminating Micheal Schiavo's status as legal guardian much less considering his petitions to let her starve.

The weight of circumstantial evidence here is far more damning than the evidence used to execute Timothy McVeigh or prosecute Charles Manson and leads the rational mind to only one conclusion, (albeit a yet to be proved suspicion) it appears to be far more likely than not that Micheal Schiavo attempted to murder his wife causing substantial injuries that resulted in her current condition of mute immobility and he is now soliciting the help of the courts of the State of Florida to finish the job.

Regretfully (shamefully, despicably, dishonorably, criminally, immorally, horrifically, adjectiva nausea ad nauseam ...,) the Courts of Florida are willingly assisting him and no earthly authority in Florida or Washington has been able to find the legal right, the statute or the testes to oppose him.

The Corporate Media (as always in these times) has abdicated its responsibility to fully inform The People of this nation about this situation. A situation which has generated strong reactions from people wherever the whole story has managed to surface through means of less heralded forums of communication.

The will of The People is being played out in this case through the actions of unelected authorities, unwillful and illwillful representatives and by a misinforming media which is ignorantly percieved by too many to be performing some honest and reliable service to our country.

There is little left for the ordinary man/citizen to do but watch and unflinchingly witness what is happening. Watch it, acknowledge it and remember it. However painful the truth is it is always better than the lie. Never deny it, never excuse it, never forget it. Micheal may succeed in murdering Terri but the truth won't die if you give it a place to live.

Victory lies in truth and truth is a flame that needs shelter from the winds of fear and anger. Take the flame into your heart and mind and the lie with it. The flame of truth needs to be exposed to the lie to feed itself by burning it to pure ashes. You can't eliminate evil from the world but don't turn away or close your eyes to it because it is ugly. It will only use that as an opportunity to gain ground on you.

Good luck, Micheal Schiavo. You're gonna need it.

******************************************

If attempts to feed her and teach her to eat are blocked that is murder.

If drugs are used to mask her reactions to removal of food and water and the resultant starvation and dehydration that is accomplice to murder.

If friends, family, legal representatives and the press are blocked from witnessing her reactions to this denial of nutrition and hydration that is conspiracy to murder.

First, I stand corrected re: TMLC being solicited by the Schindlers--their opinion was solicited by Jeb Bush. However, they do have a preferred outcome in this case. Their interpretation of Florida state law has to be considered in that light--if they make any error in assessing and interpreting the law, it will most likely be biased in favor of supporting a decision to intervene.

Second, they carry no more weight than any other group with an interest in the final outcome of the case. They have no official standing; they are simply another advocacy group. The attorney general's statutory (if not constitutional) duties include providing formal legal advice to the governor. If the governor acts against that advice, and is found wrong, he can be held civilly liable, and possibly criminally liable. If there are enough Republicans in the statehouse, then he'll avoid impeachment--but appointed officials involved in executing the decision who are aware of the content of the AG's opinion would be eligible for prosecution. And a leader has to think about the consequences of his decisions, including the consequences for those who follow him.

Read the memorandum you ignoramus.

I did.

It looks convincing. But that doesn't mean it's actually correct. If Bush is getting contrary advice from the state AG, and the folks from TMLC are wrong, he and everyone under him would be in a great deal of legal trouble if he acts on the advice from the TMLC.

Incidentally, sh*thead, you still haven't named the law Jeb Bush would be violating ... and no, I'm not the governor of Florida, so what I want to do WOULD be illegal for me to do it ... but it wouldn't be for Jeb to do it. Can you guess what I'd do if I were governor? BWahahahaha
