Time To Engage God's (America's) Enemies

Time To Engage God's (America's) Enemies

It has been said that all that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to stand by and do nothing. It's time for Christians to pull our heads out of the sand and take a stand.

One man in California has the Supreme Court of this land now reviewing whether the phrase "under God" should be removed from our Pledge of Allegiance. The Chief Justice of State of Alabama cannot have a display of the Ten Commandments on courthouse property, despite that they are commonly acknowledged to be the basis for all of Western Law. A high school in Louisiana is being sued by the ACLU for saying prayers before football games.

The Liberal Secular Extremists cite the mythical "wall of separation" clause... which appears nowhere in our Constitution.

This is a war, and it is a war to remove every mention of God from every corner of American public life. The goal here is not to enforce our Founders' intent in having written the Constitution, rather it is to eradicate the single source of goodness, truth, and justice (and all of our Constitutionally listed rights...!) the world has in its possession... the Holy Word of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

If indeed our Rights as enumerated in our Constitution are inalienable—that is, cannot be taken from us—because, as our founders wrote, they are granted to us by God the Creator Himself, what praytell becomes of those "Rights" once God is forbidden His rightful place... or even any place... in our society or Government?

If the Christians in America, a nation founded by Christians upon the solid rock of the Word of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ, do not fight back with everything God has blessed us with, then we are giving victory to an evil which intends to consume us. We are allowing the immoral to dictate the terms to the moral, and that is then game, set, and match.

There is far more at stake here than whether Washington was a Deist, or whether one sentence from Jefferson's letter to some guy in Connecticut should be used to supersede and reinterpret our entire Constitution. These are not valid arguments, and The Library of Congress has extensive documentation available online which dispels any such deceit.

http://lcweb.loc.gov/exhibits/religion/religion.html

For this war to have gotten to the advanced stage where it now sits on our doorstep and snarls at us like the Hounds of Hell unleashed is the fault not of the minions of Satan who merely do the bidding of their vile master, rather it is the fault of every Christian in this once God-fearing nation who has sat idly by and hoped it would go away.

It is not going to go away. It is coming for us... in our homes, our schools, our places of work and our places of worship. It is time to take a stand and speak the Truth. Then speak It again. And again.

Inasmuch as this conflict, for the time being, remains a war of ideas and ideology, it is still possible to fight it just by speaking out, by letting the Holy Spirit within us move our hearts and tongues to take a vocal and unrelenting stand for what is right.

Whether our discourse in this matter offends some Muslims or Krishnas is not at issue. It is, in fact, a non-issue, and has no place in our deliberations. It is a diversion concocted by those who hate God.

The only issue here is whether our discourse offends God. We can pray that it lifts Him up in praise and glorifies Him, for that in the only way that we will succeed in our quest.

We must raise an outcry that reaches not only to the ACLU, not only to our schools, not only to the courts, not only to the Congress of the United States...

...but one which reaches straight to Heaven, for it is there, and there alone, where all hope for mankind—and America—lies.

May God give us His will, the strength to fight this good fight.

From God's mouth to Washington's ears.

It's called faith.

In Washington's opinion?

Your posts are more akin to pride.

But my friend...we live in a time where wrong is right, evil is good, selfish, cold, give-a-$hit kind of world that only God can change. I've said it before...either a Great Depression II or the WTC*10 will change this generation.

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe unto [them that are] wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! Is. 5:20 KJV

"There are many other facts like these that I could cite. So, your contention is wrong and it is actually dangerous. You may want to settle for marginalization of Christianity, I AM NOT SIR. I shall not put Jesus Christ in a closet for anyone! "

Noone is asking for you to put Jesus Christ in a closet. Personally, I'm not sure that's possible, as Christ's power is more than your closet could handle.

My question to you is...what version of Christianity gets to be the 'public' one? The first Church of Christianity - Catholocism? (Yay! Maybe I'll be able to drink on Sundays! And confess my sins to the mayor!) The church of Southern Baptism? (Uh oh..there go Fri. nite dances!! and beer!) The Presbyterian Church? (middle of the road) Calvinism? (No reason to change anything, since our lives are prefestined?) Church of Mormon (great - no more coffee or tea.)

Which "Christian" religion gets the bill in your America? And does your America have ANY room for any other faith? Or shall we just become Western Saudi Christian Arabia?

And yours are argumentative. Washington had faith. Simple fact of history and so did 238 out of 250 founding fathers. I admire them for their faith and I also believe as they did that God raised up this nation. I don't care if you don't believe it. Who are you?

Na. I think you've somewhat misunderstood my remark. To place allegiance to this nation founded upon the belief that God, the Creator, is the Giver of freedom is something that first, has to belong in the heart. It's true, the knowledge of God is the beginning of wisdom.

First, our duty is to render to God that which is His - our allegiance, hope, and trust. As a consequence of rendering to God, there comes the obligation to publicly be a faithful servant by resisting evil according to God's precepts and statutes.

I wasn't disagreeing with your perspective - just trying to relate the task begins from within.

Our founders were non-sectarian. They agreed on the essentials, and opposed any national denomination (wanted to avoid another Church of England).

But, the answer to your question is: Any version anyone wants to preach! It's their right! The 1st amendment says, "Congress shall make no law..." So, you are saying that a public person = congress, and anytghing they say equals "law"? How is it that Roy Moore = Congress? How is it that his decalog = Law? What part of "or prohibit the free exercise thereof" don't you understand?

"The alternative is to have the Socialists and NAMBLA and the ACLU (did I just repeat myself?) telling our Government how they'd like it to behave,..."

Don't forget other groups like "The 700 Club" (led by 'Nuke the State Dept!" Pat Robertson), PTL (stealing money daily for God!), and the KKK -- all groups with "Christian" origins.

I don't recall calling for a national church. Are you building a straw man?

The greatest trick Satan ever performed was to convince the secular World that he didn't exist, and that they weren't in fact doing his bidding. Choose this day whom you will serve.

Right. Anyone who doesn't agree with you is an agent of Satan

The attitude you display here is precisely why theocracy is a terrible form of government.

There is no difference psychologically between you and the Taliban.

And I will never be stopped from preaching the gospel IN PUBLIC.

Again, no one has asked you to. Preach in public, or on the radio, or on TV, or with billboards, or in magazines, or on the internet, or...

No one is trying to stop you.

Congress PAID for the printing of the first bible in 1782 and inside that bible it says, "For use of schools".

It cost a great deal of money to print a book in the 1700s. One of the most popular books of the time was the Bible. I put it to you that they paid for the printing because it was a very popular book, and entirely suitable for teaching reading. They were not attempting to force everybody to be Christian.

- history is on MY SIDE.

If you mean history's on your side that most of the Founders were Christian, and most early Americans were Christian, indeed you are right.

If you mean that they intended to found a theocratic government, history proves you utterly incorrect. It was attempted to insert the words "Our Lord Jesus Christ" after the word "Creator" in the Declaration. It was voted down. The word "God" appears nowhere in the Constitution. They surely could have inserted it. It provides expressly the "respecting an establishment of religion" clause - and the "free exercise thereof" clause. It could have rigidly supported only your view of Jesus Christ - but it doesn't.

So, history and you are at odds. Deal with it.

If your argument is the former, then you and I and history are not at odds. If the latter, then the founding documents themselves show the incorrectness of your position.

"Might it be because he blesses those who obey Him,"

There are a million+ devout, faithful, God-loving, church-going cancer sufferers (my mother-in-law, God rest her soul, was one of them) who would beg to differ with this ignorant, pious statement. You should be ashamed of this statement.

They were not attempting to force everybody to be Christian.

That would go against the very essence of Christianity. Christ doesn't force Himself on anyone, and nothing I said indicates such an absurd notion, so spare me any strawmen.

No one is trying to stop you.

Baloney. Secular humanists would love nothing more! And our govt is FULL OF THEM. My freedom is being eroded more every day!

That's right - ENTIRELY SUITABLE. Is it now not suitable? Who says so? Some black-robed humanist moron?

You, on the other hand, are asking America to pay for your refusal to accept Jesus Christ.

Please try supporting that with something beyond the bald assertion.

You're right. In addition to this whole Christianity debate, I think we should also go back to the days when:

- only white, male landowners could vote,
- women were 2nd-class citizens,
- slaves were 4/5 of a person,

etc. I mean, that's the way the Founding Fathers created this nation and in your opinion, nothing should ever change.

Do you live in Muslim Afghanistan? Or do you live in America, where it is "In God We Trust"?

And if conservatives really had any respect for tradition our national motto would not be "In God We Trust." Rather it would go back to our founders' national motto, E Pluribus Unum.

Getting rid of the statist drivel that is the Pledge is fine by me. Do any of you who stand so strongly behind it realizing what you're pledging your loyalty to? It's not our constitution, it's to the current government of the United States of America. When you recite it you are pledging your support more to the current elected government and the bureacracy than to our government's framework. That is a damn good reason to find any way to throw that pile of dog $hit for a pledge out. It should be "I pledge allegiance to the Constitution of the United States of America and to the republic that that it established," not "I pledge allegiance to the flag...."

"You mean like we have a choice? He gives us a choice?"

He gives us a choice until it's time to cash in your chips. Then, like all the others of HIS creatures, you give an account of your take.

Yeah and Congress also provided over a confederation back then that had several hundred thousand blacks as slaves. Your point? America has never been a paragon of virtue. We've accomplished a lot more than any other civilization in human history. All of this doomsday rhetoric about the death of the republic is getting old. One day the socialist system here will collapse. To barrow from Marx, it is a historic innevitability...
