Imus: 'Pill-Popping Loser' Rush Is Going to Prison

Radio host Don Imus is lashing out at rival Rush Limbaugh "even though," the New York Post pointed out today, "Imus himself was off the air several times during the 1970s and '80s because of cocaine and alcohol addiction."

"Rush is a fat, pill-popping loser and an undisciplined slob who was turning his maid into a drug pusher, and she's the one who's gonna go to prison, and - as soon as he gets caught - he starts whining," Imus said Monday on WFAN in New York.

"He's going to rehab because he can't get any more pills, and he's gonna go to prison," Imus said.

"Suck it up, fatso, and stop taking 100 pills a day or whatever ... and employ some discipline in your life," Imus said.

The press has two standards -- one for the liberals they like, and one for the conservatives they hate. It's really that easy. ( Well, like most intelligent fools, they have many rationalizations about why it's OK to treat two people with the same problem differently.)

They're also known for believing their own excuses. Excuses so lame we're left standing with our mouths hanging open and looks of total disbelief on our faces.

-It goes like this: somewhere some conservative minister said it was wrong to abuse drugs therefore Rush can be condemned, but if a person thinks it's OK to use drugs, then they get a pass.

Next they'll apply the same Orwellian logic to child killers -- As in, a person who kills a child and thinks it's OK to kill children is innocent, whereas a person who kills a child and believes it's wrong, is guilty. These people think every man is his own measure of morality and the only thing immoral is to assert a moral code. Soooo "1984" with it's love is hate, good is evil, evil is good, that it's spooky.

Yes, Rush lost weight years ago. While he still has a large frame I would not classify him as "fat". I love the double standard for liberals. They can call Rush fat but it is politically incorrect and insensitive to call Ted Kennedy fat. Regards,

Can't poison Rush's audience. Because they will follow him and believe him no matter what. I use to listen to Rush about 3 years ago, but the more I listen the more I was able to see through his half truths and hearing him only give enough of the story to back his point of view. Rush is all about himself and will say anything to get others to believe his views. I am sure I will get blasted on this forum, because at times this forum seems to be a Rush is aways right web site. Ditto heads are dumb heads, that can't think for themselves.

This has nothing to do with compassion or tough love. This has everything to do with Imus getting attention. It is sensational and we are paying attention, this is what he wants and needs.

I don't seem to recall it being called a "miscarriage of justice" when Linda Tripp taped Monica. Rush should have known better, he should have lived his life as if everything he ever said wouldn't defame him if it came out.

The liberals are all waiting with baited breath, because they think all conservatives are hypocrites, just like they did with the TV preacher scandal of ten years ago. Based upon the information that has been made public, it is highly unlikely that Rush will be facing any criminal penalties for this mess. Rush is doing exactly what he needs to be doing right now.

In the present case, there is no evidence that the maid has any imunity for making the tapes. Whatever they may have too. Nobody has heard the tapes other than, the maid and the enquirer and the state attorneys office.

Obviously they must not be compelling enough to cause the police to try and catch rush in a drug buy sting.

As conservatives we need to set ourselves apart from the leftists/liberals/communists who are more than willing to eat their own "babies" or leave their wounded behind. We don't leave anyone behind, even those who fell. He has not shown he is unfaithful to the cause.

Amazing, your opinion of the posters on this web-site seems to be a serious case of projection. It has been my experience the it is the left who are incapable of thinking for themselves. The left doesn't even seem to know what their own party's agenda is (world socialism). I just returned from a trip to the Northeast where I heard self-described liberals bash Bush's tax cuts and socialism at the same time. They said they didn't like the idea of redistribution of wealth. They complained about the enviromental constraints on themselves, but opposed drilling in the ANWR. They love the socialized medicine in VT, but claim residency elsewhere for their own health insurance. They are upset over the quality of the public school education in VT, but don't think that vouchers should be approved for Washington DC kids.

I could go on and on, but what would be the point?
