I guess those liberals are hanging out with the Law and Order and Moral Rectitude Conservatives...

Oh, I understand when he's being serious and when he isn't. I've listened closely for years. I've heard his "I've given up Bush and can now vote for Clinton show from 92". I've heard his post 96 debate shows where he's amazed that Gore managed to out debate Kemp (Unbelievable). I've heard his parodies like Hey Paula, Philander in Chief and so forth. I'm not the typical dimwit he gets on the air who says they know what he is all about and then can't answer his little quiz. Fact is, he often makes tongue in cheek comments beyond top and bottom rejoins. And yes I've been on his show as describing myself as a moderate and him telling me more than once that I am a true conservative and not a moderate(July, 02 2 o'clock hour, but forget exact date). I listened when you used to be able to tell but no one knew when he was in Fla and NYC because of sound quality. I heard him explain the Vanity Fare article, why listerners shouldn't be upset with the Playboy interview (exposes him to more people) his explanation of his not having voted for Reagan and much more. Again, I'm not a newby and I do understand the show.

Then surely you must have recognized Rush's "I can be trusted with your wives and daughters in a Motel 6" comments as him joshin' around.

When Couric's husband died from colon cancer, she did a series of reports on colon cancer and her own colonoscopy. So when a prominent person admits addiction to prescription pain medication because of severe back pain, did Couric do a series of reports on chronic back pain and how Americans cope? No, she ridiculed the person because he's a conservative Republican.

Wait a minute, did I get sentenced to be Katy Couric's spokesman??

When did this happen?? Why wasn't I notified?? Who negotiated my obscenely large salary/benefit package??

Personally, I would have given Rush considerably more credit had his admission (and trip to rehab) been a bit more "voluntary". This is too much like a conversion to Christianity as the sword falls.

I can't speak for Couric until that first check gets here. I'll have a statement at that time...

Nice try, but this doesn't get Rush off the hook. Just read the emails he wrote published in the tabloid: "Going out with a bang." Rush clearly enjoyed the fun effect that OxyContin gave him.

Were Rush's e-mails published in the National Enquirer?

I could be wrong but it seems that Rush's creativity has declined over the past few years. I can't put my finger on it exactly, but one indicator are fewer 'skits' that is one of his trademarks.

I wouldn't be surprised to find out the RATS are behind Rush's outing. I believe this is a well orchestrated maneuver to destroy him.

Did the Rats get him hooked, then spend years supplying him with his daily fix??

You can't be "outed" if you aren't doing anything wrong, and blaming someone else for your troubles, or those of your heroes, almost guarantees a recurrence of the problem.

Yes. And it sounds just like him.
