What are we waiting for? The question can be posed in either a wild, irresponsible way or a sane, measured way. In New York, our pause will continue until at least May 15, and New Yorkers are asking, in a measured, sane way: What exactly are we waiting for?

Until Trump loses the election, then the coast will be clear, magically.
Until Thanksgiving 2020 If Trump loses.
Thanksgiving 2024 if Trump wins.
Count on it.
I predict... 2 weeks, then another 2 weeks, then another 2 weeks, then another, then another...
For as long as we give the lamestream media and democrats control ....
Exactly. Trump pivots hard now full steam or he’s done. He could turn this around with a full bore bring back America now
campaign. He needs to go big or go home. It’s all on the line now.
Check out the NY City data. They are done with this for now at least. They have not just flattened the curve, it has dropped to almost 0.

We, the People, will be waiting until those Democrats making the decisions, have eithe.r, AHEM, “rubbed themselves raw”, or have died from a heart attack due to their “rubbing themselves raw”!!
It's time to start ignoring the masters.
These are the questions that should have been asked BEFORE any domestic business and travel operations were shut down. The failure of government officials to answer this question -- and the failure of their own constituents to even ask it -- has been the biggest contributor to this fiasco.
You want to blame someone? Blame the nitwit walking around today with a face mask on -- without another human being anywhere within hundreds of feet of her (and I say HER because almost 100% of the idiots I observe doing this are women).
I suggest a household based lockdown for 14 days.
This would close grocery stores.
I suggest starting it at 9pm Sunday May 3rd so people on food stamps can lay in food.
A level 4 lockdown has worked for New Zealand according to CNN.
China’s hard lockdown has worked. Small businesses are open throughout China now.
Germany now requires mask usage.
Le Figaro says 150 million masks per month are going to be available for the French.
I still have to use a long sleeve shirt for a mask here in the USA.
Until Nancy gets her “vote by mail”
Yes...We were on a country drive out in the middle of almost nowhere...and there “she” was walking on the road, wearing a mask! (A Mexican..this was orchard country)
got ‘em at my Bothell Fred Meyer. Tubs of them.
Yes, get ready for a long, hot summer folks.
It is certainly not clear to me why people think government declared lockdown is the obstacle to normal. The government is not the obstacle to normal, the virus is. If your state has declared a lockdown, and is about to release it, were you planning on reaching for your telephone to book a cruise in September?
Do you think students are going to flock to university classrooms to sit there and be infected this fall, regardless of what states say about lockdown?
We’re looking at 20% GDP smash, and it doesn’t matter what state or federal government has to say about this. People are not going to expose themselves to infection had anywhere near the rate of normalcy. Having a state release lockdown might get 30 or 40% of people resuming normal activity. The rest will not risk their parents or grandparents by doing that and GDP will continue to contract.
Nah - too many States are gonna open up - if the Red States balk too long once their dependents see other places getting back to normal, cities will begin to suffer a bit of arson and looting.
I’m not on lockdown. I simply go where I want to that is open for business. So far this thing hasn’t really affected me at all with one exception - we’re still waiting for the garage doors from Germany for our garage that was built over the last couple of weeks.
We rarely do restaurants and make our own coffee.
Yet the mortality rate is still below 1% when they predicted MUCH higher. And then they screwed up the statistic by excluding people who had the virus and recovered.
But their greatest flaw and sin is that they didn’t explain that their conclusions were tainted and not reliable in the beginning.
