I think they have several children.

But yes, he needs to go on a diet.

I’ve been on the Keto-genic diet for nine months, down 38 pounds so far. Not spectacular compared to many others, but I look skinny again.

Bravo to you. Protein and fat and a bit of natural carbs for the gut bugs is all we need! And it’s yummy.

But yes, he needs to go on a diet.

Might improve his personality as well.

I used to be a "heavy" and it definitely affected my temperament at the time. When I finally decided to do something about my weight (I was over 300 pounds prior to 2003), an unexpected side benefit was that I became a much better person. More laid back and friendly. Not so quick to criticize and be, well, an ass. I was never as bad to my wife as this George Conway is to his but I did certainly annoy my wife from time to time.

At that time I did a low-carb (similar to Keto) and got down to my normal weight range - a loss of well over 100 pounds.

A little bit of see-sawing since. As soon as I move back to sugar (and carbs), the weight very quickly piles on again and I go back to the low-carb way of eating and the pounds roll right back off. I've never gotten anywhere close to 300 again but when I get to be 250 or so, it's time to go low-carb!

Since the New Year, I'm back on the low-carb track and it feels very good. My temperament has much improved yet again.

Wish I could just stay low-carb/low-sugar all the time but eventually, I give in to pizza and next thing I know it's blueberry pie and ice cream. I know it's bad but at least I have a correction mechanism in place.
