IIRC it was a debate with Rick Lazio running for the Senate in NY for 1998? She "won" that debate because he made the mistake of walking over to her podium and "threatening" her with his posture and demeanor I guess. Anyway, the media all decided the weak little woman was getting bullied and jumped on him. Weak little woman in need of protection - Ha! Reminds me of the hypocrisy of the media. Al Gore did the same thing to Bush in one debate - walked over like the taller Alpha male and seemed like he was gonna hike up his leg and spray Bush. Bush looked over at him unafraid with this "who the hell do you think you are" look and nodded to him and went on talking. Asswipe Gore tried to look Alpha walking back to his podium, but never quite pulled it off.
Hillary lost that debate with Lazio by a mile. The news reports said the next day that her handlers were sunk in a depression that night. It was not until they cooked up the poor little woman memo that the press turned on Lazio.
You have a real knack for writing, your description of the Gore incident is so vivid it permitted me to recall something I had not even known I remembered.
Clinton sure has a lot of insider love. The Times are all in on her.
Yes. And all Gore could muster in response was his trailing voice, “what about the Dingle Norwood bill?”
