I’ve advocated for some mixed party debates for years. It would be nice to see how candidates do against the opposition before we’re stuck with a single candidate who gets his ass handed to him in the first time he encounters a democrat.
If so, I see a floor cleanly mopped.
Cool Hand Ted will have the excitable Comrade Bernie spluttering with righteous Red rage within seconds.
“Warmongering capitalist pigs like you should be shot!!!” I can hear Sanders going bonkers at Cruz.
IIRC, one of Ted’s skills as a debater is a sort of ju-jitsu where he turns his opponent against the opponent’s own arguments.
It will be fun to watch. Sanders’ hatred for those who disagree with him will quickly boil over into a geezerish rant.

If anyone is stupid, it would be Sanders to agree to a debate with Cruz. No one - I repeat NO ONE - debate Ted Cruz about anything and win. I’d pay good money to see a debate between the two of them!

And that is why Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton are the Party Candidates. Making an agreement like that is only in the interest of the parties, not the voters.

Cruz isn't running against Sanders. He's running against Mitch McConnell...the GOP establishment...and the Washington Cartel.
Comrade Bernie never smiles unless it’s for his official photograph. He is humorless in the extreme. He makes Mario Cuomo look like Buddy Hackett.
A genial smile from Ted Cruz as he disagrees with Sanders will be enough to set off rockets in the latter’s head.
