I don’t disagree with that statement at all, with the caveat that stopping abortions is just as important. And yes, Trump is raising the issue, and forcing the debate. He gets props for that. But I think you missed the intent of my comments. Trump is a demagoging megalomaniac..only out for himself. He has been on every side of every issue. He is NOT pro-life. He favored Obamacare, and open borders..until it wasn’t expedient to do so. He is NOT fit to be President. I think he is a high functioning narcissist..and we do not need another president with psychological pathologies. I have no idea what he would, or wouldn’t do, in office. But because he is talking about immigration, for some reason, a large group here, and in the country, think he is the Second Coming..and that is just insanity. JR said that anyone here can’t advocate for Rudy because Rudy was pro-abortion. Trump is ( until recently, also pro-abortion)...so why should we allow advocacy for him just because he says he’s now (supposedly)seen the error of his ways? We, as conservatives, should be far better than that.

Sadly we have allowed tens of millions of illegals, that do not like us, do not respect our values or our laws into this country. Things are so bad now that I will vote for anyone that makes that issue the center piece of their campaign. We either stop the invasion now this election cycle or we lose the country. I also believe that ethnic cleansing of native whites is next on the agenda. BTW the ethnic cleansing almost always happens after a successful colonization.

It is called Kate’s law. The name “the Trump Act” was a name give the law by democrats to disrespect the legislation.

Phil Graham. Great Senator. Would you trade him for Cornyn? In a heartbeat!

I'm not for banning anyone. That said, Trump is absolutely a liberal.

10 things that prove Donald Trump is a liberal.

1. He has been a liberal Democrat most of his adult life, registering as a Republican as recently as 2009.

2. He has contributed generously to some of the most far left democrats in politics including Hillary Clinton (D-NY), Charles Schumer (D-NY), Terry McAuliffe (D-VA) Anthony Weiner (D-NY), Ted Kennedy (D-MA), Harry Reid (D-NV), Governor Ed Rendell (D-PA), California state attorney general Kamala Harris (D-CA), Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel (D-IL), and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.

3. Trump is a crony capitalist, explaining his large contributions to democrats as a necessary tool to conducting business. He apparently believes buying the votes of politicians is an acceptable way of doing business.

4. Trump supported the ban on "assault weapons", even though there is no such thing. Far left anti-gun democrats wanted to ban gun ownership completely. Unable to accomplish that goal they created the term "assault weapon" and applied their own definition for the term so they could ban guns based solely on cosmetic appearances. Trump both fell for the scheme and supported the ban.

5. As recently as 2013 Trump praised former NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg for "Putting his money where his mouth is" in trying to take guns from law-abiding citizens. Michael Bloomberg has spent tens of millions in his quest to disarm America. And Donald Trump praised him for it.

6. Trump has been pro-abortion until which time he flirted with running for president. He now claims he no longer is. Believe his campaign rhetoric if you will, but his history says otherwise.

7. While he may claim to be an opponent of Obamacare, Trump is an advocate of single-payer socialized healthcare similar to what is in place in Canada. Yes, Trump supports the worst version of socialized healthcare. He has said, "The Canadian plan also helps Canadians live longer and healthier than America. We need, as a nation, to reexamine the single-payer plan, as many individual states are doing. While we work out details of a new single-payer plan, there are a number of ways to make the health care system now in place work more efficiently,"

8. Trump believes in using the eminent domain laws for the taking of private property from US citizens for his personal gain. He proved this when he tried exploiting such laws to take elderly widow Vera Coking's property so he could build a parking lot for limousines. Fortunately, the widow prevailed. He also said he supported the United States Supreme Court's Kelo decision which resulted in the taking of private land from a private party so Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. That family lost their land and to date nothing has been built on it.

9. Trump has said the economy does better under democrat control (we're $18 trillion in debt and climbing thanks to the dems). He also said George W. Bush was the worst president this country has ever had. Worse than the lying rapist Bill Clinton? In the mind of Donald Trump, that answer is apparently YES.

10. Donald Trump is now a registered Republican. But in an interview with CNN's Wolfe Blitzer, Trump said, "I probably identify more as a democrat." His record above lends credence to that comment.

Summed up, while Donald Trump may be saying and doing things that appeal to conservatives, he is a lifelong liberal democrat who only now claims to be conservative. That considered, he is just like any other liberal in that he cannot be trusted.

I am beyond caring what label some people put on him. If he reverses illegal immigration, builds the wall, help remove ObamaCare, stands up for Israel, lets the military take it to ISIS, lowers taxes, neuters the EPA, reduces the size and scope of the federal government, and shows the Lunatic Left for what it is to the low-information voters... that will be more than enough for me.

I don't think he has the personality to be Presidential for 4 or 8 years, and I don't like the precedent of electing billionaires or firebrand celebrities... but if the GOP nominee is not Cruz or Walker, my vote goes where Trump goes.

Unless Trump states clearly that all the unborn deserve protection and that the Second Amendment indeed guarantees the right to keep and bear arms, he should be seen as similar in key ways to Rudy. Kudos to Trump for bringing illegal immigration front and center, but at least Cruz is against a porous border and an unjustly easier path to citizenship for lawbreakers.

Trump has the field addressing the issues they would rather dodge. That’s a start.

Some have left that I miss, hoping they didn’t join the snark and bark anti-freepers..... Hopefully they just lurk and listen but stayed.

Some of us are just getting old, and tired.

In my case, old, sick, and tired. Literally.

My health is quite poor, and as I inch toward 70,and worry about what kind of world we leave for our children... It's just so sad.

I'll vote for Jeb when Terri Schiavo endorses him.

And that alone is one reason I shall never vote for him.

And to all who say that's like a vote for h. -- So what?

Frankly, I see no difference between them. Neither will get my vote.

Trump posters are falling into the pest category, btw.”

And Cruz people have become pious self-righteous snobs that are now demanding that people that have the nerve to NOT back their candidate be banned from FR so you can have a “safe space” to virtue signal to each other about how awesome they are.

For all of you blowhards screaming about how you are “real conservatives” you all seem to play very well aping all of the traits of social justice warriors.

What, pray tell, makes "the Donald" acceptable here,

Tell you what, go over to DU and start a thread on whomever your favorite candidate is and see how long you last before you get banned.

Is that what you want from FR? Ban everyone who doesn't agree with you?.......Nice

Up-thread I posted, long ago, that Trump supporters were not as obnoxious as Rudybots were. Trumpbots have proven me absolutely wrong.

“I don’t think the support for Trump is nearly as rabid and irrational as the support for Rudy was. I recall how stupid all us non-Rudy supporters were because he was the only one who could win. I remember that purge and the evolution troll zots, and FR is better for it.”

I like to look at these guys like this.

This man was considered to be the greatest solider in America. The "Napoleon" of his time. He dressed immaculately, rode around on a white horse, drilled his men and drilled some more....and more....and more, Always had the "perfect" look for the DC social set.
He sucked do bad, he almost lost the war in the first year, and had to be fired twice.

This man was a drunk, failed shopkeeper, mediocre student, pretty much looked like a hobo and dressed like a slob. He drove his men hard and relentlessly, with many loses, because winning was more important than winning "pretty". Which he did.

The moral? Sometimes dirty but effective works better when the goals are the same.

I think Cruz supporters will eventually be banned.

The threads calling Cruz cultist don’t get locked and are placed in the sidebar.
Threads attacking Cruz’s citizenship status get the same good treatment.

We’ll see what happens but that thought above is from observation.

Maybe look in the mirror and realize why we have become sick of Cruz supporters and their constant belittling and snobbish posts about us.

Many of us restrain ourselves in the face of you people and the increasingly authoritarian posture you are putting forward on this site.
