The California technology industry has a rare opportunity: An open U.S. Senate seat from the Golden State.

Seems to me that one that represents the people should be the goal.

Repeal the 17th amendment and it might actually matter. Otherwise it’s a waste of time.

Obola’s unaccompanied children aren’t going to vote for somebody just because they are a techie. They want somebody who is going to give them more free stuff!

We all know who Silicon Valley supports so I wouldn’t hold out hope here for a sea change in California politics.

No one in their right mind would vote for a techie for anything.

They have no useful life experience; they’d be just another Obama from a different strain.

Ed Zschau.

Remember him?

Sssshhheeeeeaaaoooowwwwwwww.

I’m sure a “Tech Senator” would still be a liberal, but it would be an improvement.

This is modern day California, land of homosexual Nirvana and illegal alien sanctuary.

The ony sort of politician possible is one at least as stupid and uber-liberal as the jewish NY carpet-bagger that is retiring.

just what we need - another bay area idiot.

The obvious GOP candidate is Darrell Issa, who’s strong enough to stand against billionaire envirowacko Steyer, Gavin Newsom and Villaraigosa put together. But I kind of like Issa in the House for now where he’s effective, so how about taking a look at Paul Chabot? he’s focused, he’s been publically vetted, a military and LE veteran, a vote getter and election upsetter, having lost his bid for Congress in November by only 3500 votes. He should be very popular in conservative south and central Calif as well as northern Cal. imo he deserves a much closer look by the RNC

What needs to happen now is that leaders of the tech industry come together and draft the Silicon Valley candidate.

Yeah; and you can bet your booty, and the house cat, that whoever it is, he/she will be a Liberal.
