That comment was forced, awkward, and out of place. Having said that, republicans should know better than to ever mention that mediocre president’s name in a debate.

The Kennedy “jab” was a joke, meaningless and infantile. Ryan didn’t let it ruffle him at all.
I think Romney should tell Obama:

The ship of state has struck an iceberg but appears to still be afloat and moving. Captain Obama and Co. are totally unprepared to answer for what they have done and do not articulate any remedy because they have none. Obama and Co. ARE the problem. They have no plan to repair the damage and have absolutely no plan to change course. It's full speed ahead in the midst of an ever-growing ice field. They believe the ONLY COURSE is to replace wealth-creating capitalism with poverty-creating socialism.
When called into question or debate, socialists have difficulty with the substance of ideas and reality. The best they can do is sling metaphors or catch-phrases ("we're in this together") around and hope something sticks. Their best effort is to distract from reality like a dog and pony show on the deck of the sinking (or limping) Titanic and maybe pretend to "help" by rearranging the chairs (in this case handing out Obama phones).
Romney and Ryan need to ignore the Dems flashy distractions (except cursory mention of their purpose to distract) and continue spotlighting Obama's ruinous acts to date and his plans to continue so he can "finish what he started" (sink the ship, so he can get reassigned to a command post in the New World (Socialist) Order ).
The premise is silly. Why is it the number of tweets generated by some comment newsworthy?
I think Obama would implode from open ridicule like that.
In case Obama brings up Reagan or Lincoln (which he likes to do) Romney will know what to do.

Biden spent his prep time memorizing lines and was just trying to get them in; he did not have substantive arguments; he did not present a rationale to continue the Obama regime into a second term other than fear.

Biden’s Pavlovian non sequitur was utterly predictable. One of his two or three working brain cells was certainly programmed for that response. A Republican is not allowed to utter the name John Kennedy in any context, lest he be accused of pretensions to deity.

It was a non-event, and all the more so because Biden couldn’t even deliver the jab with precision.
It was a pathetic attempt to turn Ryan into Quayle, and instead it turned Biden into a geriatric out-patient.
Note the mention of the flourish of Tweets, but no mention of which way those tweets leaned.
I was surprised when FOX News began reporting on Twitter traffic during the conventions. The demographics of people who regularly “tweet” is overwhelmingly liberal.

Thomas Sowell frequently cites 4 presidents who lowered tax rates which resulted in increased tax revenue. He cites Bush, Reagan, Kennedy, and I forget the other. No one has accused Mr. Sowell of thinking he is Kennedy or Reagan for doing this.
I watched the debate and somehow managed to miss this “hot moment”. I guess Joey Buffoon’s sophomoric smiling, smirking and cutting up antics had me distracted.
