Agreed.
I’m there. I’ve given the gop every chance since 1980 to get it right.
They left me in 1988.
This is their last chance, IMHO.
I am already leaving the republican party after 2012.. “them” selecting the inventor of Romney-care as the poster boy.. did it for me...
Some is something severely askew in the RP... somethings broken..
and probably cannot be fixed..
I’m bailing.. if enough do it.. then a third party can be viable..
If not the whole RP barrel will turn to vinegar..
Romney will get a shot. Sarah is more giving him advice (or a warning) that he needs to STILL behave like a Republican once he wins. He may just do that, as he’s run his campaign light years ahead of McCain and probably better than any Republican campaign since the first Bush campaign (where Lee Atwater was the mastermind). His little quip about not having to show his birth certificate probably picked him up 5 points with conservatives alone.
I'm just saying.

I adore Sarah Palin but will not vote for Romney. As soon as she is thoroughly disgusted with the corruption and leftist ideology that are sure to be the hallmarks of a Romney administration (if any), I will gladly join her in creating that third party. The GOP deserves the death penalty as did its Whig and Federalist ancestors.
Sarah Palin has turned into the worst one of all..she ‘s come into AZ endorsing the establishment candidates over the conservatives. SCREW HER.
The more recent and apropo example would be Canada's Conservative Party.
Canada's conservative third party movement, fed up with Canadian CINO Tories, began in earnest about 1993.
By 2006 the Tories were non existant and The Conservative Party had the Prime Minister and the legislature.
If not a third party, Republicans need a Tea Party Caucus in Congress.
yitbos
Sorry, but it should be its. This really bugs me since it's so easy to see the difference . . . kinda' makes Free Republic look cheesy. Sorry, but I'm a stickler.
This dovetails nicely with the gist of my post yesterday. I have serious issues, from my perspective as a devout Catholic, with Romney and his stances in this, and I am trying to decide my next move in light of that, and the general thrust of the GOP these last twenty or so years. With the GOP continually trying to edge away from moral conservatism, if I do vote in the upcoming presidential campaign, this is absolutely the pee-or-get-off-the-pot moment. They may, and I stress that word, may get this one last chance. If a single thing is reneged upon, that’s it.
As it is, we either need a third party dedicated primarily to making good moral choices that grows from the ashes of the republican party, or the party itself needs to change. But the dance of playing with romancing the moral conservatives is toast, either way.
Like Voris says, “Lets look at this a little more deeply. Faithful Catholics dont want Obama because he is a conduit for evil no doubt about it.
But think of this .. if/when a faithful Catholic goes into the voting booth and pulls a lever for Romney he is pulling the lever for a man who supports same-sex civil unions and has stated that he thinks such couples should be able to adopt.
In short, the dilemma is a guy who supports a heck of a lot of evil, or a guy who supports a little less evil. Man, thats our choice.
And heres the root of the problem. Faithful Catholics and under political conservatives have been used and abused by the Republican Party establishment for decades. In five of the last 8 presidential elections, a republican has won.
Abortion on demand is still the law of the land and America has continued her downward moral spiral, granted at varying speeds depending on which party is in control.
But thats just the point it boils down to a question of just how fast we are rocketing to hell. Warp speed if the democrats are in charge, cruise control if the Republicans are. BUT THERE IS NEVER A REVERSAL OF COURSE.
At some point, Catholics and other like minded moral people, who believe that the number one issue with America is not the economy but moral rot, have got to get out of this box of vote for the bad guy OR the REALLY bad guy.
Moral conservatives have been neglected and thrown crumbs from the table paid lip service for decades by the GOP establishment EXACTLY like African American voters have been abused and thrown crumbs from the table and paid lip service by the Democratic establishment for those same decades.
Million of children are still being aborted and the much of African American community is still mired in crushing poverty. How many elections does it take to realize that the establishment of both parties are conning their base for votes?”
I’d like to add one more thing. In the last election, it wasn’t so much that my wife and I voted for McCain. He made us hold our noses. Lord, but he stank on ice. We voted for Sarah Palin. Enough with the politicians who say anything to get in the seat, and then spend their terms doing nothing effectively but blathering and posturing.
Ditto. Going to see 2016 Obamas America today w/ my sister.
Although Paul Ryan already "sealed the deal" w/ me, this will further my resolve to get that bastard OUT OF OUR WHITE HOUSE AND OUR LIVES!
Although there is really only ONE major potty...with R and D divisions, a so-called third party would be the way to go, and RIGHT NOW...we have fiddle-ph%$#3ed around enough as ‘tis!!!!!!!!!!
Semper Watching!!!!!

The GOP-e does not have a winning record. Time for a new manager!
A big amen on that!
