Colorado: Dan Maes (R) vs. John Hickenlooper (D) vs. Tom Tancredo (I). Tancredos candidacy seemed to be nothing more than that of a spoiler. But Tancredo overtook his rival on the right very early in the general election season, and this has essentially become a two-man race between Hickenlooper and Trancredo. Tancredo has surged very strongly over the past month, going from 20 points down to about six, and the gap is even closer in some polls. With Maes now polling in the single digits, its possible that his supporters will just end up voting for Tancredo, though its more likely that they would simply stay home on election day. Prediction: Democrat hold. This one will come down to the Independents. Go Tom, go!!
