Free market capitalism, for one. I’d take Mitt over our current mixed corporate fascism and socialism right now.

Bashing liberals is never boring.

You must believe in the Mythical Romney. Great guy that one, sadly he’s just a myth. The real one sucks.

As to Krauthammer he’s not exactly a strict conservative.

Those who believe the Myth of Romney are the deranged ones. The conservative Romney is as real as Hercules.

And you can’t even conclusively prove Romney is a friend of America....

Name one patriotic thing that he has done for our country in his 60+ years...

(Patriotic as in not getting paid for his time, or as in laying his life on the line)

You claim the Mauck murders (from Romney’s choice of judge)
were NOT Romney’s fault. WRONG.

Gay marriage was imposed by Romney (overriding the Mass
Constitution because he is a carpetbagger)

The BIGdig coverup was imposed by Romney.

Socialized medicine was imposed by ... Romney.

Election2008 was thrown to Obama by .... Romney.

Romney administration could have kept killer behind bars

SHIRLEY, Mass. —A killer accused in the slaying of a newlywed couple in Washington state shortly after he was released from prison in Massachusetts should have been held behind bars for almost a year longer, but the Romney administration failed to file paperwork in time to take away his “good time” credits.

A Department of Correction superintendent, under then-Gov. Mitt Romney, did not act on a disciplinary recommendation to strip 300 days of credit from Daniel Tavares after he was accused of threats to prison staff in 2003, state officials announced Friday in releasing results of a probe into the Tavares case.

Because of the paperwork error, Tavares was allowed to keep nearly a year’s worth of “good days” to complete his sentence June 14. Five months later, newlyweds Brian and Beverly Mauck were killed in Graham, Wash., allegedly by Tavares.

“He would have still been incarcerated. We are very dismayed. He was violent,” Correction Commissioner Harold Clarke said at a news conference Friday. “This is an individual who should not have been released any earlier than required.”

Clarke, whose first day was Nov. 26, called the failure unacceptable. He said the record-keeping and release date computation is “a basic function of any correctional agency.”

In total, hearing officers recommended 780 days of “good time” be taken away from Tavares for six different violent incidents spanning 1993 to 2005, but authorities say there is no paperwork to explain why action was not taken by Correction officials on five of those cases spanning 1993 to 2005. The only case with records showed a prison superintendent under Romney failed to meet a 60-day deadline to file the paperwork to take away 300 days in 2003. As a result, top Correction officials who make the final decision to strip

Mitt Romney takes responsiblity like a capuchin monkey. Not.
Compare Romney's utter lack of patriotism to say ........ Gov. Palin.

"Governor Orders POW/MIA Flags Flown for Former Prisoners of War Recognition Day"

"Office of the Governor of the State of Alaska ^ | 04-09-09 | Gov. Sarah Palin
April 9, 2009, Juneau, Alaska – Governor Sarah Palin today signed a proclamation declaring April 9, 2009,
as Former Prisoners of War Recognition Day. The governor has ordered POW/MIA flags
to be flown in honor and memory of American men and women
who have placed themselves in harm’s way and faced the horrors of combat."
“The price paid by POW/MIA soldiers in defense of liberty is worthy of our highest
gratitude and most solemn remembrance,” Governor Palin said.
“On this day and always, they are in our thoughts and prayers. We will never forget them or their service.”

versus

"National Guard Lt. Anthony Circosta poses in his backyard in Agawam, Mass., on June 9, 2007.
At left, his wife Danielle and daughter Kylie, 2, talk near the swing set. Circosta,
a decorated Iraq War veteran, seemed like an ideal candidate for a pardon from
then-Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney for the 29-year-old's boyhood conviction
for a BB gun shooting. Romney denied the pardon,
twice, despite the recommendation of the Governor's Council.

How about being the head of the USOC and organizing the Salt Lake City Games? I’m pretty sure he did that for his country. Is that patriotic enough?

Not everyone is cut out for the military, but he’s still heads and shoulders above our Kenyan-in-Chief in terms of his contributions to society. If he manages to beat Palin and Jindal, we ought to support him.

Hey N00b...

How about that coward, Romney owning up to his own big part in this ???

The responsibility flows upwards to the top...

Packing heat ???

Since Romney cant stand the heat of the accountability kitchen he better stay way out of it..

He should stay home behind his gated walls where nobody will have the audacity to expect him to “admit the GOV made a tragic mistake”

Well, Newbie. YOU claim Myth Romney "organized the Salt Lake City Games".

Really?

Or did he just use the Federal teat once again -- for himself?

More myth? Vote Mitt.

REASON #5 to Support Romney: Romney has received the endorsement of Martin Luther King

"Mitt Romney Lies About Father ‘Marching With Martin Luther King, Jr.’"
"Mitt Romney has been caught in yet another lie.
Only yesterday Romney’s claim of not supporting Planned Parenthood abortion mills was abruptly smashed by a photograph surfacing of him at one of their fundraisers in 1994.
Today, it’s Romney’s claim that his father “marched with” famed civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr.
During his “I’m a Mormon but it doesn’t matter” speech, Mitt Romney claimed he saw his father,
George Romney, marching with MLK during a 1968 civil rights march through Grosse Pointe, Michigan.
It was a stirring account of the efforts of his father to show that the Romney family have always reached across ecumenical lines.
Only one little problem… it never happened."

"Mitt Romney went a step further in a 1978 interview with the Boston Herald.
Talking about the Mormon Church and racial discrimination, he said:
"My father and I marched with Martin Luther King Jr. through the streets of Detroit."
"Yesterday (12//07), Romney spokesman Eric Fehrnstrom acknowledged that was not true.
"Mitt Romney did not march with Martin Luther King,"
he said in an e-mail statement to the Globe.

Against Myth Romney is 1:

"On Sunday, June 23, 1963, 125,000 people marched down Detroit's Woodward Avenue
to the Civic Center, in what was described at the time as the largest civil-rights demonstration in the nation's history.
According to the next day's account in the Holland Evening Sentinel,
the crowd at the Center "lustily booed," when representatives of Governor George W. Romney
read a proclamation declaring "Freedom March Day in Michigan." But Martin Luther King Jr. didn't fault Romney for his absence,
which the governor ascribed to his policy against public appearances on the Sabbath.
"At a news conference following the march . .
[King] refused to criticize Romney for not attending the demonstration," the Sentinel reported."

Against Myth Romney is 2:

Susan Englander, assistant editor of the Martin Luther King Jr. Papers Project at Stanford University, who is editing the King papers from that era,
says Myth Romney was untruthful, when she told the Globe yesterday:
"I researched this question, and indeed it is untrue that George Romney marched with [Dr.] King."

Against Myth Romney is 3:

"King never marched in Grosse Pointe, according to the Grosse Pointe Historical Society,
and had not appeared in the town at all at the time the Broder book was published.
“I’m quite certain of that
,” says Suzy Berschback, curator of the Grosse Pointe Historical Society"

Of course, RomneyBOTs continue to attack these educated women,
who have spoken the Truth about Myth Romney and venal, odious deeds.

But glad you mentioned the Winter Olympics...

Besides banning the Boy Scouts because he wanted to kiss up to his homosexual friends...

“All people should be allowed to participate in the Boy Scouts regardless of their sexual orientation.” -Mitt Romney

Romney took over and managed to squander millions of the tax payers money...

There was a set budget...

But Monopoly money boy ended up spending budget plus 50% more...

Some giant in the economic arena...

You want him in your wallet ???

Let him in...

But my purse in locked...

RINO Romney couldnt even buy himself the White House...

Poor jerk ended up spending $50 Million of his own money..

His worse dreams bit him in his wrinkly old bum... errr wallet...

“Mitt Romney said last year that it would be “akin to a nightmare” to have to fund his presidential campaign out of his personal fortune.

So now Mitt Romney is about to find out how much it costs to buy - or fail to buy - an election in 2008. A lot more than the $6 million it cost him to buy the Massachusetts governorship in 2002, that’s for sure. Forget the $63 million Mitt raised through the first three quarters of 2007 (which included $17 million of his own).

Let’s talk about how much of his cash Mitt has thrown into the campaign by now. We won’t know until Jan. 31, but it’s got to be way more than $20 million. “

He got into the Olympics later, after mistakes were made. He was largely credited with turning the USOC around. He also employed a lot of people in the private sector. All I’m saying is that he has a attractive resume when I consider the current resident of the White House.

The thing I remember about the McCain-Romney primary battle was that Rush was quite pro-Romney. So was I, since Romney was the only viable candidate sticking up for conservative principles. It’s a shame he didn’t win the primary. He had a much better shot than Juan McCain to spare us Obamageddon.

Only to the RDS Freepers will an admission of not hating Romney get you ostracized. I don’t see the point of a circular firing squad, since Romney can be an conservative asset in 2012 whether he’s the candidate or not.

The same circular-firing conservative crowd was around in the late 70s against Reagan, who abandoned his more liberal past. I’m not going to villainize those who I may not agree with 100% down the line. That’s something that liberals do.

See my other response to Tennessee Nana. Recall these same complaints in the late 70s about Reagan. Villainizing those on which you can find common ground but who you don’t agree with 100% is something liberals do.

Romney is not Palin, but he’d lead us out of Obamageddon.

He exploited conservatives...

Can you even spell “conservative principles” ???

What on earth do you think they are ???

There’s nothing conservative about being an abortion pusher for 40 years...

and writing $50 abortions into a mandatory universal healthcare bill...

Romney is an evil twisted human being...

Well a being ...

There’s not a whole lot of humanity about him...

You obviously didn’t watch the Romney-McCain debates in the latter stages of the primary. It was quite evident that it was a McCain-Huckabee tag-team against the most conservative candidate left. I remember Romney sticking it to McCain at the Reagan Library as being the NY Times’ endorsed candidate, among other things. You should have been watching.
