p.s. She has already proven herself as Governor and has Military/Intel bona fides. It's twuu, it's twuu. . .
Any well-reasoned dissent, bring it.
God Bless Sarah and the USA

One good thing about Sarah in the US Senate in 2010 would be that she does attract the media and would be able to get the message out that the Democratic controlled Congress has so far run up a multi-trillion dollar deficit since Jan 2007.
We need to get that message out now! In their first budget cycle of 2008 the Democrats ran up a $455 billion dollar deficit and for 2009 it is looking to be at least a $1 trillion dollar deficit. That's more than the Republicans ran up when they were in control, yet it isn't making the news!
The Houses of Representatives by decree of the US Constitution controls all money appropriations.

Your arguments are clear, concicse, VERY well-written, and demonstrate a penetrating logic and level of erudition not often seen in vanity posts.

Sarah Palin should remain as Governor of Alaska and concentrate on doing her current job as well as possible. No one knows what the future will bring. As she gains more experience she can consider running for higher office but for now she should concentrate on doing the job she was elected to do and not scheme about some Obama type career of two years in the Senate and then President. I was very impressed by Governor Palin’s performance in the recent election but her lack of experience was very clear. She should remain as Governor of Alaska and focus on doing a good job.

I don’t want to see her in the whirl of Beltway politics. She’s better off staying on as Alaska’s governor until she’s ready to run for Prez. The Senate is a corrupting influence.

As long as you call her by her first name she is not going to win.

Maybe this isn't a bad idea. Maybe she can clean up the Senate. Someone has got to get in there and rip out the corruption in Washington. I know. Keep dreaming.

Sarah can take care of herself. She didn’t get this far with our help. I trust her instincts. I am betting on her. If not it wasn’t meant to be no matter what you or I think. No, I did not read but the title of your post.

Canned answer.
It was reworded a little after being copied and pasted.
The ‘theme’ that you are peddling is getting rather long in the tooth.
It is all over FreeRepublic.com
It goes kinda like this. . .
I really like Sarah, she impressed me . . . she does a great job in Alaska . . . blah, blah, blah . . .
and then comes an if, and, or but . . .
she needs to mature a little more. . .She needs to concentrate on Alaska . . . She can’t follow the Chosen One’s path . . . Can’t we just hide her in Alaska?
How formulaic and transparent.
I said “well-reasoned”. Did you even read that far down?
Her DC Beltway experience will be gained by the daily dispatching of clueless liberals.
I don’t even know why I wasted the time, dear sleeper-freeper.

Sarah doesnt need to be in the Senate to promote her agenda. It is the MSMs wishful thinking to get her out of her comfort zone and castrate her along with other 99 Washington politicians. In the Senate she will be voting yes, no or present. Sometimes it is hard to take a position. It will be easier for MSM to smear her with her Senate record. I can not see her cope with the everyday grind of the Senate. On the other hand, she can do some wonderful things in Alaska like energy independence and show people how her conservative views are put into practice directly. Freepers, please dont fall for the propaganda like this from MSM to advise her go to the Senate. Reagan never went to Senate and see what happened to him. Once, she gets into the Senate, the liberals will slowly work to take her freshness and luster away and project her as another corrupt politician. She is already a rock-star. Just leave her alone and she will be just fine.

“The Senate is a corrupting influence.”
Have you taken the time to consider she may actually be a good influence on the Senate?
Nice try though....

First name calling reduce the respect for politicians. Some people think it is affectionate but for most people it is stupid. Those are three famous politicians who went by their fist names and lost: Rudy (Giuliani), Hillary (Clinton), Fred (Thompson).
Calling politicians by their first name is stupid.

Does it feel better on your eyes? Another argument for being a Governor is this. Look at her competition. Jindal, Pawlenty, Barbour and a few other Governors. Historically, the Governors are elected. Right from 1976 onwards, only Bush Sr was the non-Governor elected and of course Obama. She will do just fine being a Governor and keep her marriage and family intact. Senate is where she will be broken down into pieces and thrown to the lions. I just can not see her rubbing shoulders with the losers McCain and Kerry everyday. Dont take the freepers for granted. They are very smart.
To: ScottinVA
If Sarah can be corrupted so easily by life in the Beltway and the Senate then she is no use to conservative movement. Excuse me, I mean no disrespect to the Deep South but we don’t need a delicate Southern belle type of blanche Du Bois; what we need is the fiery temperament and charisma of Joan of Arc combined with the servant’s heart of a Mother Theresa and the cast-iron leadership of Margaret Thatcher. I believe we have that in Sarah Palin, regardless which venue she decides to serve in.
