"I think she's nailed it."

And in the process inadvertently created my new favorite word - "errogant".

TV appearance at a German restaurant (while the globe trotting Obama spoke in Berlin), and McCain's visit to the town of Bethlemem here in the US, (while Obama was over in Israel praying at the great wall)

Damn, I missed all that. Too funny!

Obama looks like a typical errogant sports figure or Hollywood star (who takes himself far too seriously) traveling around the globe spouting politically correct leftwing platitudes, with the lapdog media in tow. The Media have actually succeeded in their goal, making Obama a "rock star", but to their surprise, I believe, it has shown he is definitely NOT presidential material. It's funny, and ironic, and the talking heads have totally missed this.

Yep...that about sums it up.

This is the election where McCain needs to play “small ball” or use the “ground game”...whatever analogy you want to use. Hit local and on the stump.

Obama’s media coverage may be the best thing to happen for McCain. The more you see Obama, the less you like him IMO.

McCain will win if the public learns the truth about Obama.

errogant

I like that.

Defined as: An obnoxious fool whose high opinion of himself gives him no justified cause to his arrogant view of himself.

The Berlin Clown Show was Obama’s jumping on Oprah’s couch Tom Cruise moment.

"I can't believe Nixon won. I don't know anybody who voted for him." -- attributed to Pauline Kael, 1972

Kael later claimed that was garbled. She said that when she was asked what she thought about Nixon's victory, she said had no comment and didn't even know anyone who voted for him.

The Left claims that this absolves her of having friends with lockstep politics. I don't see how.

I would have to disagree just a bit. I think the reason why Barack Obama is struggling in the polls is because he *only* appeals to the left-wing of the Democratic party. He isn’t even making an attempt to reconcile differences with the centrist element that backed Hillary, and in fact, the campaign has taken steps to alienate them. To compound the problem, he has taken steps such as the FISA vote in the last month that have further angered not only centrist Dems, but also his left-wing base. There was a major poll out in mid-July that showed 15-20 point declines in the number of Dems and 18-29 year olds who were certain to vote as compared to March.

While he hasn’t angered independents and moderates, his platform really doesn’t appeal to them, either. The only reason they’re entertaining the thought of voting for Obama is because they’re not happy with Bush and the Republican party. But with all of the camera hogging his campaign has done, he has essentially made Bush irrelevant in this campaign and made himself the issue. That’s a bad thing for his campaign with every single group but the far left.

Obama is no rock star. He’s a pop star like Milli Vanilli. A Grammy winning fraud (and YES Obama has won Grammies for his spoken word adaptations of his books).

Errogance: Being against the surge even when you see concrete positive results from it.

The world is full of ironies.

John Kerry got hoisted on his swiftboat petard when he made his Vietnam service into the centerpiece of his campaign.

Obama may get hoisted on his rock star petard when he made it the centerpiece of his campaign.

And the "We hate Mormons" crowd may even get Mitt Romney nominated as VP when they made religious bigotry the central focus of their efforts. Three months ago, I would have given you 100 to 1 odds against Romney getting nominated due to the bad blood with McCain. Now, I'm convinced that the volume and vitrol of the "We hate Mormons" crowd will drown out Obama's ability to play the race card and thereby make him an attractive selection for McCain. Accordingly, the odds are now 3 to 1.

Aw, he can't be arrogant. He left a prayer at the Western Wall protecting him from pride. I think he really meant it.

Obama is acting exactly as if the election is a foregone conclusion, because it is. The fix is in. The election charade is a fig leaf that allows him to claim legitimacy.

It’s the banana republic model. Castro is his model.
