John, why do you have to say it in that tone? I can see you smirking when you write that. You think it's funny? I don't!
Just kidding

Deja vu all over again.
This campaign is going to get easy to predict, what with who the "advisors" are.
To: Mr. Mulliner
They have 6 or 8 different categories, and you come out stronger on one of two values within each category. For instance, one category is people-oriented versus task-oriented. Another is time-oriented versus event-oriented. I would really like to see that. It sounds very interesting. Let me know if you find it on the web, or can e-mail it to me.

If I wasn't so cynical, it would be easier to accept some of this junque we're seeing coming out of the Clark campaign.
Within the last 72 hrs he's be For the War, Against the War, Not knowing Where he is on the War. First he was Going to Debate, then he Wasn't, now he IS.
Now this litiny of religious and moral backgrounds. Sort of a smorgasboard of faith. Very strange.
Thank you for linking this to us.

Well, at least all those Clintonistas are all in one spot. Makes it easy to follow them.
My hope is that they have become so overweening in their arrogance that they have misjudged how people will view Clark, and they all go down in flames.

I've been stewing about something all day and can't stand it any longer.
In all his flip-flopping about the war, Clark has said that he's still trying to formulate his ideas on the subject.
GET REAL!!!!!
Every bozo in the country long ago formulated his opinion about the war. He may be for it or against it ..... or shooting that line about supporting the troops but opposing the war .... his stance may be what I consider treasonously anti-American .... but I can't believe there is a single person in the country who doesn't have an opinion one way or the other.
But Wesley Clark, retired general of the US Army, Grand Poobah or whatever he was with NATO, and presidential candidate, doesn't know yet what he thinks about the war?????
That stretches credulity to the absolute limit ..... and yet, frighteningly, there are a number of people in this country who will fall for that hogwash totally and completely. That is really scary to me!
And while I'm at it .....
..... this man (?) wants to lead my country but doesn't have any positions on any subjects until he talks to the people?
It is taking a great deal of restraint for me not to use language that is most definitely not becoming of a lady. I'll settle for GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!! and let you all imagine the rest.

Still looking for that thing. I know it's used by a lot of people and agencies so I'm surprised it's not more prominent and easy to find.
Do you ever listen to NPR? I used to listen a lot when I was a liberal and naive. Now I only listen occasionally and find one of the safest times to listen is on Saturday mornings. Car Talk with Click and Clack is as funny as ever. And the show that follows it (I can't think of the name or the host's name now) is usually worth listening to while I'm out delivering mail.
But today I turned it on and almost had to barf. That show had Al Franken on and were pretty much letting him just blab on and on while the audience was really behind him in all of his Bush-bashing and Fox news/Bill O'Reilly bashing. It was pretty bad and I couldn't take much of it.
Last week they aired a show taped during the 2000 Election standoff and they seemed very apolitical or neutral, but had lots of references to the recounts that were going on. But they sure showed their true colors today with Al Franken on.

Butting in to your 2 way conversation:
The test Mr. M described made me immediately think of the Briggs/Meyer (or Myer?) testing popular in the Corporate World 15-20 years ago.
The test was most typically used, I believe, to test Jr Execs to place them in an area where their strongest talents lied.
LOL. I did a quick google search and found this list of stuff:
http://www.google.com/custom?q=Briggs%2FMeyer+Test&sa.x=24&sa.y=13 Since I've already displayed my senility tonite, I am comfortable leaving my info at the beginning of this post as I originally typed it.

You're getting warmer ..... hehe!
My m-i-l (who has admonished me for saying "Darn!") uses an expression when she is really riled up ..... Horsefeathers!
It always scares me til she finishes the word.

I know that test very well. I first took it in 1985 as part of a preparation for going to China. I've since taken it several times and read the companion book
Please Understand Me.
I'm glad it's used in the corporate world. I think it's a great resource and I know it's used widely by churches and mission organizations. I even used a "dumbed down" version of it with my group of juvenile delinquents at the boys wilderness program over the summer and every one of them who did it were shocked at how accurately it described them.

I watched the beginning of the Miss America Pageant. I noticed that many of the contestants were pursuing PhD's and careers in medicine and law.
Miss Tennessee said that she'd love to be a contestant on Supermarket Sweeps.
How Tennessean can you get?
