[history]
London artists Steve Wood and Clive Morris said they wanted to create a tribute to freedom when they set out to produce a giant bronze replica of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
But when they tried to display their 10-foot-tall, 5 1/2-ton artwork at Harley Davidson's 100th anniversary "Ride Home" kickoff here Thursday, company officials had police shoo them away.

Yesterday, I saw three guys on Harleys with Swiss plates, headed for Sturgis to join up with those on the "ride home". Lots of others on the road, but those three stood out because of the plates.

That's custom-made? Wow, nice work. Looks factory-stock(yard) to me.
Can't get into this 100th-anniversary silliness, especially when the only riders they can find to quote are on 2003 models. Probably trailered them from their dental offices.

Texasgirl, LOL! Now THAT's what I call custom made.
How about this Harley made of butter. Got pancakes?

LostThread & I saw this one up close at one of the local dealers on the 95th anniversary. It even smelled like a buffalo! We didn't want to ride behind it . . .

Are you going to State Fair Park today. It's going to be nasty hot today. I'd like to go to the parade down Wisconsin Avenue, if they are doing that again this year. I went to it for the 95th. The bikes are a display of outstanding artwork.
