Have I told y'all that yet???
probably have...
I'm still trying to clear the head this morning.
So many doing such wonderful things...
Li'lfreeper, what are you trying to publish???
I wish I could get support from my family in homeschooling. No one seems to believe I am capable of doing it. They'd rather pay money to the private school. Not griping about that, as the private school is one of the best in the area. Its just as well, I think, since we are moving so we can be in a better neighborhood (trust me, the one we are in now is going down hill FAST), I will have to get a part-time job.
Wordsmith - How about we make the thread go chapter by chapter on the O'Brien Books, starting with Master and Commander? That way, we can stumble through naval jargon together and perhaps hash out some of the more historical references. I hate having to put down a book in order to look up a term, but if there is someone else to discuss it with, it makes it worth the effort.
Anyone else interested? And will JimRob allow us to do so?
We're homeschoolers as well, so let me know if you have questions or need encouragement. Overcoming family resistence was perhaps the single biggest hurdle. But our 3 boys, I'm proud to say, have never seen the inside of a school classroom.
I'd enjoy an M&C thread, although likely wouldn't have time to post regularly as I'm up to my eyeballs in work between my job and launching my freelance writing and editing business.
Speaking of which, wish me luck on my next article. I've been asked to right a cover story on Christian faith and marriage for a national Orthodox Christian magazine. I got the assignment on Friday and need to have my first page and outline done by tomorrow. Eek! :-)
A very boring, dry technical report that noone will ever read. But that's ok, 'cuz I'll still publish before Strange Guy. Nyaanya!
