If my big guys are out in public, they are always on leashes. They are not usually out in public. They have a backyard where they belong.

My problem is when I go to a shelter, I want to bring all the dogs home. I got Box O'Rocks from the Newport Beach Firemen's show. He was the only dog there. I fell in love with him. But once I got him home, I remember I had sworn to myself I would never, ever get a long-haired dog again. He's one big pile of a fur ball.

Oh, that is just lovely. You can beat your wife, but spit in a cop's face and go to jail for life. Am I missing something?

Well we did the birthday present thing and she was thrilled.

However before we had an opportunity to mention it, herself brought up the subject of no puppy.

We think she understands that even though she didn't get one today, she is still going to get one.

I think I made a mistake in showing her that picture I had posted earlier today of the 2 puppies - she prefferred the black one. Just like that picture, the yellow one I found yesterday also has a black sibling, who I didn't like at all - too fraidy cat for my taste.

We shall see - but at least I know hubby will not oppose another lab (yippee!!!!!)

I'm sure it is - but she's' learning.

Daddy used the perfect analogy by telling her that getting a new puppy is not like going to the store and getting a toy, it takes a little bit of time. It must have worked, she hasn't mentioned a puppy since that and has kept herself occupied playing with her new toys.

I'm still waiting for the end of the vaudeville cross-talk act. You two remind me of the following degraded buffoonery: two Irishmen named Pat and Mike going down Broadway.

Pat: "Begorrah, my sister's tired of workin' at the ballet."
Mike: "I'm sorry to hear that, Pat, why is she tired?"
Pat: "She spends all of her time rushin' in and rushin' out."
Mike: "And why does she do that, Patrick me lad?"
Pat: "Faith and begob, because it's the Russian ballet!"

Then you hit each other over the heads with umbrellas.

I am not going to embarrass myself any more! The new building with the fresco is quite nice. Was the other building one of the WTC buildings? I can't tell by the photo, and I don't want to be callous.

I was a pseudo blonde for about ten years. It was fun, but I still think brunettes have more fun.
