Tuesday, 07-02-03 | Slip 18

Posted on 07/02/2003 7:00:38 AM PDT by Slip18

In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of “word for the day”. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the “word of the day”; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

"I don't like bananas and my husband keeps telling me he thinks I need more potassium. the CIB I do like. "

The box says it has 320mg (9% of daily allowance) of potassium before you even add the milk. Added with 8oz of fat free milk you get 21% of your daily allowance. It also has 20% daily value of magnesium minus the milk and 25% with the milk. (you need both of them together I think for your body to process the potassium) Skim milk has more potassium than whole milk too. You get more potassium from the CIB than from a banana.

Well, Vancouver does have spectacular mountains all around it. When I did my visiting to NYC I was in Montreal. And we lived in Europe a couple of times. so I've seen those joints. (Venice is my favourite city, although I haven't been there since the early 70's and understand it's changed. The architecture was breathtaking.) But New York's got everything you could want and this incredible electricity in the atmosphere that I've only experienced anything close to in London in the early and late 60's. And the Frick. And the Metropolitan Museum of Art, great place to pick up women. And Mayor Koch's favourite restaurant, The Peking Duck House. And The Cloisters. And the jewelry on 5th Avenue. (I never appreciated jewelry before being in those stores). And and and ...

Sure. Let me open my e-mail and upload them. I'll send you the URLs when it's done.

Oh, btw. My e-mail address has changed as of Monday. The first part is the same, but now it's @Comcast.net . . .

The old address should still forward to my e-mail software though.

Not just Lazzie and you have taken breaks. We've done it here, too. Sometimes it gets a little busy FReeping, especially when household things need to be done. Every now and I again, I do have to separate mail, et cetera. LOL!

Good to see you!
