You have a point there...... TexMex isn't Mexican....but I can assure you what I have available up here in PA would make y'all laugh - whether you were calling it Mexican food or TexMex......lol.......I ordered a chicken enchilada in a local diner - they brought out a flour tortilla, with chuncks of Italian seasoned chicken, with marinara sauce poured inside the tortilla......lol.....no cheese...... Perhaps it was from Southern Italy....? My husband said, "remember where you are before you order enchiladas again"......lol

Okay, how is it I missed this thread until tonight? I had to comment on your dismal TexMex offerings in PA. Years ago we were transferred to the D.C. area. Neighbors recommended "a really good TexMex restaurant". We knew we were in deep trouble when they brought out the nachos. Imagine Doritos with triangles of American cheese and bell pepper sprinkled on the top ::::rolling my eyes at this travesty:::::! That was the longest eight years of my life. We've been back in Texas for six years and I'm still not over it.
