Hello to all my Freeper Friends
And
God Bless all of you
J
In recent months I have lost both of my parents at ages respectfully 90 & 92 years of age.
When I was 24 years of age my parents adopted a young boy (an Hispanic boy) and raised him as their own son.
That young man and I became very good friends and, in fact, he became my brother. We were very close.
19 months ago I lost my Father. 7 months ago I lost my Mother. 12 days ago I lost my Brother. He was only 42 years of age when he passed to be in the arms of our God.
I am 60 years of age. It hurts much more to see the younger ones pass.
I am very proud of my support and monthly contributions to FreeRepublic.com and to all my fellow Freepers, very little as it may be.
When times are rough I know that I may always rely on my Freeper friends wherever they may be.
(I am now reminded of the great thread posted by one of our own, Herb Meadows. "In My Mothers Arms")
For some reason in these days I find comfort in that great old song This Old House by the great musical artist, Rosemary Clooney of times past. I would like to share it with all of you.
In closing I would like to make this observation. Once again our great Republic is involved in a war. Once again Our Great Nation has entered this engagement on the side of God and those principles which are right.
God Bless America

You broke my heart. God bless you & yours. I am a newbie myself but a long time lurker & know how much these freepers mean to me. You are in my prayers & my heart tonight. God's peace be upon you. The light of God enfolds you.

I am very sorry for your losses. I lost my own brother 14 months after my mother died. But what I have learned is that one misses one's mother most of all.
God Bless you

God Bless you! I can sympathize, all of my immediate family are resting in our Saviour's Arms. I know how all alone you must feel.
Just remember one thing, it's an old saying, but it is so very true.
"God closes one door, and opens another."
I have taken so much comfort in the doors God has opened for me. So must you.

About 13 tears ago I experienced nearly the identical chain of events in the space of one year. In my case there were four family members. Mother, Father and two brothers. On top of that was a loss of job, a personal bankruptcy and a move to another state.
It was so hard to function, so hard to get up and face the day.
I finally sought out a family doctor. I explained the situation and to my surprise, he too had nearly the same experiences. He recommended a good anti-depressant and some counseling if I felt like it would help.
Well, to make a long story short, the anti-depressants worked like a charm. I did not ned the counseling and after a year or so, I put the pill bottle away.
I feel for you and understand the pain. I hope you recover soon. Remember that there is plenty of help available, and you need not go through this alone.

I wish there are adequate words to express my sympathies. Grief of any kind is never easy to cope with. If you need to cry or let off some steam, there are thousands of FReepers here to lend an e-shoulder.
To: Fiddlstix
You remain in my prayers. May He bring to your mind many fond memories of your loved ones and your lives together. I pray that you feel the Lord's peace and presence. God be with you, til you all meet again!

God bless...it's hard to say anything to someone in grief.
Just know, I have sent a prayer heavenward from Ireland.
Take care.
